Eric Young was interviewed to promote the Impact Wrestling tapings in Knoxville, TN. I point to his comments about how timing is important in wrestling. It's what separates a guy who can do innovative moves and not much else from a guy who can be a big draw.

PWInsider.com has some Wednesday questions to look into:
1. That's a good point actually. I don't think I've ever thought of it like that. As they said, it arose from the idea of eliminating outside interference or slipping out of the ring, so that's what they're going for. I side with them on it being treated as a standard wrestling match with a cage involved rather than a special exclusive gimmick.

2. Legitimately, not that I can think of off the top of my head. Which is good. That would be very unfortunate. That doesn't mean they got off scot-free though, by any stretch.

3. Admittedly I'm not an expert on the process of getting visas, so I'll refer back to them. I would think that it'd be like a driver's license and you have a window where you can renew it before it expires, but it might not be very long. Things happen sometimes.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with a look at the Matt Hardy "suicide" controversy a few weeks back.
4. As they said, you can't assume that she didn't say anything privately. Not to mention that I'm sure that plenty of people online were looking for his friends to "do something" about it or comment and that's proof that she's not standing idly by and letting it happen.

5. Now, I can't speak from a personal standpoint of someone directly affected by the tragedy, but I didn't have a problem with them running the show that day. In some ways it was a healing process; proof that life goes on.

WWE has a new distribution deal to air Smackdown in Portugal. Raw, NXT, and Superstars already air there. Big Show is listed in the press release, but he's technically still a member of the Raw roster. That could be an indication that they're moving him there or just a mix-up. It'd make sense for him to jump ship and face Henry.

Matt Hardy's girlfriend spoke with TMZ.com about the raid on his home. I'll leave the legal aspects to more qualified people. I'm just happy that the cloud has a silver lining in him going into rehab.

Here's more DX footage from Shawn Michaels' show. I'm glad he's enjoying post-WWE life, though like many I wish we could see him in the ring again.

TNA will begin featuring Twitter comments on Impact Wrestling. Positive ones I'm assuming. That will either be good or disastrous.

Velvet Sky, D'Angelo Dinero, and the male members of Mexican America did signings at Direct Auto Insurance places in Knoxville to promote the Impact Wrestling tapings there.

Stone Cold Steve Austin posted the cover of his upcoming WWE DVD. Looks good. I think ROck should get one as well.

Yoshi Tatsu discussed his new look with WWE.com. Cool little read. I'd like to see more of him on Smackdown. Imagine if he got some videos like Gabriel did.

Percy Pringle, better known as Paul Bearer, blogged about his WWE return a year back. When they finally end the Undertaker character, he should be involved with the angle.

Kelly Kelly joined Facebook. That link'll become popular pretty quickly I imagine.

Randy Orton will be doing a signing 9/26 at Slackers CD and Games in Hazelwood, MO.

Dana White deflected Triple H's recent criticisms. Why respond to valid criticism when you can just sweep it under the rug, right?

JR talked about the big Mark Henry angle.

The Miz's parents were interviewed about his on-screen firing. I love it.

WWE has moved its 10/10 house show in Texas to 1/7/12. Hopefully that works out better and draws more. Also hopefully they come back closer to my neck of the woods at some point.

Tori Amos discussed her friendship with Mick Foley and more. She's an interesting one.

Here's more on WWE Studios acquiring "The Day". I'll be ceasing coverage of non-wrestling-related releases on 10/1.

Ric Flair talked to the Boston Red Sox.

Matt Hardy Tweeted about entering rehab. I wish him the best.

Jeff Jarrett promoted the 9/21 Impact Wrestling taping, and the big angle attached to it. It's a spoiler, obviously. It sounds like an intriguing premise and has some element of truth to it according to rumors.

The Miz went off on Triple H in an in-character interview. Outstanding.

WWE is looking for some new corporate hires. That link's info is outdated. It still says Superstars is on WGN!

Dragon Gate USA performer Johnny Gargano worked on Superstars. It could have just been a one-time thing, but they could also be looking at hiring him. He's currently under contract to DGUSA, but they'd release him if WWE wants to sign him. He had the company's blessing to work there. Maybe he ends up with the former Jon Moxley in developmental?

That's all for Wednesday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
