WWE in MSG, updates on Taker, Kane and Jericho, Henry at Schwarzenegger museum, Haku interview, Questions on the WWE Network, Gail's TNA return, Lohan on Raw, Nexus, and WWF vs. WWF, Nash works another house show, more Muppets, Christian updates, Kim interviews, KOTR DVD cover, Styles update, Show interview, Jericho not in WWE '12 but Batista is, Styles talks Hogan and TNA, HHH talks Austin matches, Karl Kox passes, Brisco update, WWE.com looks for Taker, and the post-Impact Wrestling show

The Motley Fool has a piece on Madison Square Garden looking outside of the NBA during the lockout. WWE was mentioned.

The Undertaker isn't expected back in the ring for WWE until WrestleMania, if then. If Chris Jericho come s back to the company, it would likely be around the timeframe of Mania as well. Neither of those stories are particularly surprising, though it seems that Taker's hypothetical return keeps getting pushed back.

Kane could be a surprise entrant in the 2012 Royal Rumble. He isn't expected back before then.

Mark Henry visited the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum in Austria.

Haku/Meng The Barbarian was interviewed.

On to my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
1. There's not much telling how well it will do at this point for the reasons they mentioned, but it will certainly include non-wrestling content (like their movies). The WWE brand moved away from just being wrestling a long time ago!

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with whether Gail Kim's TNA return has caused the Knockouts to step up their games.
2. I don't attribute that solely to Gail's return since it's been happening for a number of months now. I wouldn't rank it as vast, but they've definitely gotten more fire under themselves.

3. I'm not so sure that it would look too well on WWE's part to associate with someone so troubled.

4. Them losing and getting beaten up a lot happened. I agree that they had a good thing going there (and a lot of that all-important merchandise) and they became more fodder for Cena, Orton, Kane, and Big Show in the end. They had some good moments before then, but became less and less credible as time went on until it was just Otunga and McGilicutty and people just stopped caring. I was ok with The Corre and New  Nexus in theory, but they dropped the ball and now a lot of people who were in it are either directionless or released.

5. I'm thinking someone just got confused here. There was an issue because they both had the same initials, which isn't the case when the wrestling company is called WWE.

Kevin Nash worked another house show, in the same matchup as last time. I think that could mean we'll see him in the ring on TV or PPV soon. I hear some people groaning already. For WWE's sake, I hope it's worth it financially over the long run.

WWE is sending a camera crew to the premiere of the Muppets movie. There are already talks for them to do a future cameo similar to Pee Wee Herman. Fine with me, but I know others won't care for it.

Christian is no longer on WWE's European tour due to either a sprained or broken ankle. He's one of my all-time favorites, so I hope he comes back ok.

Update: JR says it's not broken. Good to hear.

Gail Kim talked about the differences in the Knockouts and Divas divisions with Slam!. I can definitely see her viewpoint about which is more important to be champion of.

WWE has revealed the cover for its upcoming King of the Ring DVD set. Pretty cool looking. I can see why they mostly stuck with people who've had successful careers post-win. No Mabel or Billy Gunn in other words.

AJ Styles updated his status, stating that he'll likely compete at Sunday's PPV and not miss as much time as he's forecasted to. I get the feeling that it might not be a good idea to come back after a week when a doctor says to wait 4-6 weeks.

Big Show gave an interview to promote next week's Smackdown.

Chris Jericho won't be in WWE '12 due to "factors beyond (THQ's) control". They wanted him to, as did quite a few fans!

However, Batista will be available as DLC. I love these trailers.

Gail Kim had another interview talking WWE and TNA to promote Turning Point. I'm glad she's enjoying it there. The division's certainly getting attention there.

AJ Styles talked about Hulk Hogan's ideas for him and where he wants TNA as a whole to be. His heel run was bad enough without the hair change. Yikes.

Triple H talked about his favorite matches with Stone Cold Steve Austin. They worked particularly well together. Good listen.

Killer Karl Kox passed away at 80.

Gerry Brisco looks to be on the mend. Good to hear.

WWE.com asks where The Undertaker is. Speculation time!

Finally, here's the post-show for Impact Wrestling.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come later. Thanks for reading!
