Raw thoughts- 11/7/11

Tonight, on the IWC's new least-favorite show, Monday Night Raw is in Liverpool! Will it be a hard day's night when Michael Cole challenges Jim Ross? What does Oz Diesel Vinnie Vegas Kevin Nash have in store as a new member of the Raw roster? Anything can happen in the WWE! Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Didn't take long to get to Twitter.

This is called Miz and R-Truth "getting their heat back" and getting a chance to look credible again.

That reference was a little dated by Cena.

Poughkeepsie... doesn't ring a bell.

That's honestly a bit of a letdown as big as it was sold. I like Ryder well enough, but I was expecting a more likely future Hall of Famer.

Fine stuff to set up the tag match. Nothing amazing, though.

Yep. I'm officially on the "change the commentators" bandwagon.

Morrison's really at a crossroads right now.

Terrible commentary at places.

Are we really spending this much time talking about Vickie's outfit?

Morrison's featured in matches a lot, but loses them.

I guess this competitive match with two young, talented wrestlers was more of that "crap" that "only Vince McMahon enjoys".

WAIT? MORRISON WON!!!????

Is Predator Technology like what Batman has in Arkham City? Seriously though, all that looks pretty cool.

That Survivor Series match works for me, though I think Team Orton vs. Team Rhodes would make more sense.

I wonder if Hunico and Epico will get a shot at the tag team titles?

Pretty cool video on Mason.

I don't think tonight's going to be JTG's night.

At least Cole didn't jump in saying JR's a whale.

Mason Ryan vs. JTG? Same old, same old. When will WWE move out of the umm... errr...

Dude's massive.

Ok. No more taking swipes at the invalid complaints of bitter jaded dirtsheet writers. On to what I actually enjoy on the show and pointing out the good things.

Champion vs. Champion. Evan Bourne, this could have been you!

I feel behind for not being on Google+ yet.

As Punk about TNA, and confuse "your" and "you're". He'll be your friend forever.

Del Rio and Kingston. Two enjoyable competitors with hopefully bright futures.

These two actually briefly feuded on Smackdown. Like, very briefly.

Del Rio could use a credibility boost, and he got one there. Sorry, Kofi, but with Evan out you're prime for a depush for a while.

They're doing a good job selling Show vs. Henry as far as a credible challenger vs. champion. I'd certainly like Sheamus to be the guy who takes the title, though.

I like this Del Rio/Punk segment.

I wonder how things would look if Punk won a big title match at Mania after a big chase?

Way to sell Del Rio as a champion to tune into, WWE!

I actually find Del Rio's title reign interesting, but Punk would be pretty good as well.

Punk had that crowd eating out of his hands.

Del Rio must pay Ricardo a LOT to take this much abuse.

And here's where Swagger might "erase" last week's loss to a degree.

Ok, Cole, indeed.

Can Santino become the All-Italian Italian?

Fine enough first step in rebuilding Swagger. The eye tic was a little much, though.

I can't believe they took that music from AJ. Her new music's good, too, but that song's adorable.

Honestly that's a big deal for Kelly. I remember the days of Divas getting Playboy covers, but obviously that wouldn't fly these days.

Divas of Doom could get a lot of heat interrupting this one.

This is good. Or it was until Kelly's line.

Divas having a storyline? That's another thing that supposedly isn't happening in WWE according to the "expert" journalists.

I don't like Alicia's fox look, though I give them points for being clever.

A sex Santa you say...

Hey, we made it to the last half hour of the show without John Laurinitis.

Didn't expect to see a Mordecai sign. I did like the wrestler who did the gimmick, though.

1995. Killer Kowalski. Buried. Kliq. Pop. Things a lot of today's fans aren't too familiar with. That's not a knock on them. They're just references from years past and/or inside terms.

Honestly not a bad promo. They made Nash look like a pretty credible opponent for HHH.

Been waiting for some Brodus Clay. Time for someone to get killed!

Fun. Another bait-and-switch.

Pretty cool segment to set up Punk/Del Rio.

That's pretty cool looking.

You know who could use a win over Cena tonight? His opponents for next week.

From the LI! I like it.

Rock returning to the ring still seems surreal.

Ryder's doing pretty well for a guy who's not a regular main eventer.

Haha. Double Broski Boot!

At least the crowd's into it.

Yeah, Cena and Rock are going to stomp Awesome Truth.

Uh-oh. The Cena haters are going to turn on Ryder now, aren't they?

Between that ending and Miz eating the AA and taking a pin, that's the lesser of two evils. They still looked like pretty big chumps and not in the league of Cena and Rock.

That's all for Raw. I'm sure there will be plenty of complaints about it in the days and weeks to come! I'll be back Wednesday for NXT, and a news post will be up later tonight. Thanks for reading!
