Morrison talks future, match made for 2012 Raw, Questions on WWE losing top stars, Q and As, breaking into the business, and turning John Cena heel, Big Show and Stratus interviews, Cena wants a new title design, Knockout leaving?, more content on TNA On Demand?, Ziggler note, Bryan gear note, Laurinaitis blooper reel, new WWE Network campaign, Storm update, Raw change of plans, WWE.com looks at Cena's character, Hall of Famer backstage, Raw dark match, and the latest cryptic video

John Morrison tweeted that he'll give an update on his future next week. It's looking all but certain that he's finishing up with WWE.

In what I'm assuming/hoping is a dark match, Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler is advertised for the 1/2/12 Raw in Memphis.

PWInsider.com has some new questions up to ponder:
Nothing to add to 1. 2 is indeed kind of warped. It couldn't have just been "for whatever reason they weren't able to be on the show"? Anyway, I think that Punk or Miz would be good choices to face Rock given the history and feud potential. Obviously if they could get Austin or Jericho to work the show that'd be great but there are no guarantees there. There are a number of possibilities with Undertaker (?), Big Show, Mark Henry, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Kevin Nash (sorry), Kane and maybe someone like Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes or Daniel Bryan. Rock's match would still likely headline. I'd hate to have to follow him as heavily as his match has been built.

3. I'm drawing a blank, too. I think maybe Sean Waltman still does his blog on such things, but I don't know how regularly.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with breaking into the business as an announcer or creative member.
4. I agree about the Hollywood part. They call it an "action soap opera" for a reason, so coming from a similar background to that would be advantageous. As for announcing, broadcasting school would be a good start (and of course writing classes would be good for Creative endeavors as well). Anchoring for the news and/or doing play-by-play for other(?) sports would be a plus, too.

5. There's no guarantee that they'll turn him heel, given how long they've used him as a babyface and how much money he's made in that role (see: Rey Mysterio). I remember Hogan, Batista, and The Rock all had entertaining heel turns and people (older fans/"smarks"/what have you) were still pretty into them. Some say that was the best work of their respective careers.

Big Show was interviewed near his hometown ahead of doing a dark match with Mark Henry after Raw.

Trish Stratus talked about Tough Enough potentially returning, yoga, and more. I'd watch it on WWE Network.

John Cena reiterated that he believes that the WWE Championship design that debuted with him in mind should be changed. A lot of people would agree.

TNA's Jackie Moore, formerly Jacqueline in WWE, could be leaving the company soon since her contract is expiring in the near future. Honestly, they're not really doing anything with her and the bloom's off the rose as far as her prime's concerned, so I'm more than ok with this. Time to determine who to use and who to cut loose (or send to OVW).

TNA could be adding a lot more content to their On Demand website, with original content being discussed. Cool if it makes them more money.

Dolph Ziggler is only the second person to work more than one match on 2 WWE PPVs in a row. Bret Hart did the feat in 1993. Not something that should become a habit. That's got to be grueling.

Daniel Bryan's new ring jacket was designed by comic book artist Jill Thompson. It's pretty cool looking.

Big Show had a Q&A with The State ahead of the Raw taping. Good read.

WWE.com posted a "blooper reel" of John Laurinaitis congratulating C.M. Punk on winning the WWE Title. Well that was a waste of time.

WWE has purchased the domain "IWantWWENetwork.com". They're apparently going to use it as a way for fans to rally to get the network on certain providers. Clever.

James Storm hasn't been cleared to wrestle yet. I think they can easily write him out of the ring for a bit to prepare for a feud with Angle. Maybe he can be at ringside for an Angle match at the next PPV if he can't compete?

John Morrison was originally scheduled to face Brodus Clay on Raw in the latter's return. I think the way they handled his write-off was very good as it was.

Update: Morrison tweeted about the situation (?).

WWE.com has an article on whether John Cena needs to change his character. Oh boy, this one will get a lot of talk. I'm a little surprised that they're addressing the boos this much. If it doesn't lead to a change, people are going to be disappointed.

Mae Young was backstage at Raw. Thankfully that's as far as she made it. there was no need to bring her out for the broadcast.

Alex Riley beat Drew McIntyre before anything was taped for the Raw brand. Probably a good match. I hope WWE's looking at both of them for bigger roles on the roster.

Finally, here's the video WWE led viewers to with the Twitter graphic on Raw. I'm not really sure what this is for, but I'm intrigued.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come when I'm able to update later in the week. Thanks for reading!
