TNA Turning Point thoughts

Tonight TNA puts its first PPV since Bound For Glory. New TNA World Champion Bobby Roode defends his title against AJ Styles. Jeff Hardy takes on Jeff Jarrett. Gail Kim looks to become a dual champion as she faces Velvet Sky. All this and more from Orlando. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.
Not a good way to start the show's in-ring action.

Welp, there's our first dud of the night. There was some good action in there, but the other stuff brought it down.

There was some pretty good work in the tag title match, but then there was more BS as well. Looks like it's going to be another one of THOSE shows.

Certainly an interesting X-Division match-up. Got pretty brutal in places. No real complaints from me. Everyone did their roles well.

Pretty good from Daniels on the mic.

"Best in the world"? I've heard that somewhere before...

Pretty awesome little match-up. I'd have liked to have seen Daniels win, but they told a pretty good story while doing the hardcore stuff.

Better match than a lot would expect from Crimson and Morgan so far.

Fun brawl to set up a rematch. I'd like to see more from these two.

Ray and Steiner are pretty entertaining in an "out there" way.

Steiner's still got some gas in the tank it looks like.

Pretty good match from a story perspective. Everyone had their working boots on.

Gail vs. Madison could end up being fun.

Who's this chick and what did she do with the Gail Kim we've seen the last few years in WWE?

Good match. Got kind of complicated towards the end, but I'm mostly fine with it because the action was good.

Good set up for Abyss and Garett Bischoff. Maybe things are changing in TNA after all.

What the #&$@* was that?

That just got weird... I guess it's in a good way but I'm not really sure.

Roode's great in his current role. Definitely worth what we went through to get here.

Pretty damn good given Styles' ankle injury. I think they tried to hard to make Roode a heel, but other than that it wasn't bad.

All in all, there have definitely been worse TNA PPVs so I can't complain TOO much. Not a bad show. As always, where they go from here will be the important thing.

That's all for Turning Point thoughts. I'll be back tomorrow for the 3-hour Raw, and a news post will be up shortly. Thanks for reading!
