Queries on Jackson Andrews and HHH, First match set for Impact Wrestling, Iron Sheik reschedules appearance due to health issues, Punk DVD in the works, TNA exec to undergo surgery, Questions on Cena turning heel Sunday, Epico, Natalya, and John Morrison, Jarrett takes swipe at MMA, Booker confirms return, Laurinaitis to evaluate indy talent, Foley standup, 2011 NWA Hall of Fame class, Iron wants to Rumble, McIntye interview, Hall through rehab again, Hart interview, Kamala speaks, Canterbury update, Impact Wrestling preview, former WWE star backstage at Impact Wrestling, Divas title match set for Survivor Series, Smackdown rating, and why Hill's hosting Raw

A couple of queries to start the news day:
1. I don't know of any interest in TNA for Jackson Andrews. I haven't heard much on him at all since his WWE release.

2. Triple H wasn't fired as COO, just relieved of his GM-like duties for Raw. He's still the on-screen CO, and presumably the plan as for him to come back to wrestle Kevin Nash. You'd think we'd hear more about his progress since in storyline he's the most powerful single person of the whole company (only the Board as an entity has more control over things).

Impact Wrestling will feature a 10-Knockout Gauntlet match for the #1 Contendership to Gail Kim's newly won Knockouts Championship. So there's where some of the recently-absent females of TNA (ODB, Jackie) will pop back up.

The Iron Sheik has pulled out of an appearance recently due to his ankle and knee issues. He'll reschedule what he missed.

WWE is working on a C.M. Punk documentary (as mentioned by the Chicago Tribune), which will also feature a number of matches he's had there. Should be good. He definitely beats to his own drum, and I'd like to see more performers follow his lead as far as hard work and standing out goes.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, including PWInsider.com's questions.
TNA executive Bob Ryder will soon undergo surgery to remove a tumor from his spine. That's never a good thing to have to do, but here's to hoping he comes out of it ok.

As for PWInsider.com's questions:
I don't have anything to add to 1, so I'll go to 2. Given the fights Cena's gotten in with both Miz and R-Truth earlier in the year, it'd fly in the face of logic for him to join up with them. That's Vince Russo-level thinking.

3. Not much to add here other than there were originally plans for them all to team up before Carlito was released. At least now it looks like he'll team with Primo on Smackdown (in addition to Hunico). I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll do as a group.

4. That answer would be news to Kelly and Eve... they're mainly using Natalya as a stepping stone to Beth. It's not so much a case of depushing her as pushing Kelly, Eve, and Alicia Fox. It's not a perfect scenario, but I see their thinking.

5. I'll let Triple H take this one:

"Pretty soon we're going to be pushing Morrison...

...out the door."

Seriously, though, as of now it looks like he's not going to be around much longer, so they're getting whatever they think they can out of him before his contract ends. I guess it's possible we're in for a redux of the Sheamus situation, but we're apparently in the 11th hour now.

Jeff Jarrett, presumably in character, took a shot at the recent heavily-hyped UFC bout. Well played. Well played.

Booker T. confirmed that he's training for a return to the ring. As long as it's good for the business in the long run, that works for me. I enjoyed his WWE run so if he still has something in the tank hopefully he works well with the current crop of stars. I'd like to see some of them get the rub from working with him.

John Laurinaitis will be on-hand to evaluate talent at a NC independent show, HVW. Maybe he stumbles upon a future star.

Mick Foley put a clip up from his standup show. Not bad.

The NWA has announced its 2011 Hall of Fame class.

Gregory Iron was profiled again. He wants to be in the 2012 Royal Rumble. He's dreaming big! I'd be extraordinarily surprised if that came to pass.

Drew McIntyre was interviewed in the UK. At least, I think it's him. They refer to a "star attraction" and that fans would be "wearing his T-shirts", so they might have him confused with someone else. Talented guy, but he's the epitome of going from being pushed to midcard hell. There was a time when he was looked at as a future World Champion, and now it seems more likely that he'll be future endeavored. Disappointing to say the least how often this happens.

Scott Hall enrolled himself in rehab and left again this past weekend. Also, the sun came up. Sadly this is the same old story with him. I can see why people have pretty much given up hope.

Bret Hart talked about winning the WCW Title.

Kamala addressed wrestling fans after his amputation procedure. Good man. I wish him the best.

Christian has been diagnosed with a severe high ankle sprain. Sounds quite painful. I hope he gets better soon. He's earned a vacation; it's a shame this is the way that's coming about.

Mark Canterbury is slowly but surely healing following his accident. There's still a long way to go before he's better.

Here's the official preview for Impact Wrestling. Call it a hunch, but I think Roode might have been behind the attack on Storm.

Potential spoiler warning: Michael Tarver was backstage at the Impact Wrestling taping. He'd have to use a different name if he signed with the company, but he might be a good addition. I always enjoyed him as a character and on the microphone, and he'd make a good option for the person who attacked Storm (aligning himself with Roode). That's a big push for a newcomer (and another non-TNA original), so that's something to think about if they pull that trigger.

Beth Phoenix vs. Eve for the Divas' Championship has been made for Survivor Series, which makes sense. I think it's time for something somewhat new with this angle. Beth and Natalya have lost steam.

Smackdown did a 1.95 rating on Friday. Not really sure what to make of that.

Finally, Jonah Hill will be guest hosting Raw to promote his movie "The Sitter". I hope this is one of the good guest host appearances.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tonight. Thanks for reading!
