New matches made for Turning Point, USA to air Tribute with limited commercials, Canterbury update, Questions on autobiographies, the future of sports entertainment, commentators looking at monitors, and Eve, Survivor Series party, where Norman Smiley is, updates on Bourne, Morrison, Nash, and Sin Cara, potential WWE hire profiled, 17 WWE Network show ideas, Z! TLIS #39, WWE looks at Kox, and the Impact Wrestling rating

Mr. Anderson and Abyss vs. Scott Steiner and Bully Ray has been added to Turning Point, as well as a TV Title match between Eric Young and Robbie E. Not bad ideas, but things like this should be announced on TV.

The 2-hour Tribute To The Troops special on USA will have limited commercial interruptions. So, why should we watch the 1-hour one beforehand?

Mark Canterbury has undergone another surgery on his leg. He's doing as well as could be expected given his injuries.

As for my take on Friday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince McMahon, hands down. If I can't pick him (since "wrestlers" was specified), Kevin Nash. Given how much flak he's gotten over the years and the backstage stories, I'm sure he'd have some interesting things to say on the subjects. Patterson's a good choice as well.

2. I can definitely see it changing once he's not as involved with things. I'm curious as to what Triple H would do if he was legitimately in charge. It's kind of a crap shoot what WWE's future is since it's so closely intertwined with his. It's possible that they try to emulate MMA and/or treat things more like a legitimate sport like ROH, but that'd be quite a stretch based on how they are currently.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with why WCW went awry.

3. To add to that, some say that they only had a couple of good ideas (Goldberg, Sting, the nWo) and they either ran them into the ground or screwed up what made them great. They did well at taunting WWF and capitalizing on their mistakes, but once they were the top company they couldn't get away with that. WWF stepped their game up and WCW was left behind. In panic mode, they went through bookers, stories, and title reigns like crazy in an attempt to fix things, which of course only made things worse. They lost millions upon millions and when Turner finally pulled the plug, it was a shriveled-up husk of what it used to be.

4. There's also the fact that they don't want to spoil run-ins and such. I seem to remember WCW didn't use monitors for a time, and the announcers were unsurprisingly confused when something happened backstage that they weren't made aware of!

5. Maybe sometime down the line. I don't see any reason to at present.

WWE will host a Survivor Series party, featuring C.M. Punk and Zack Ryder. Cool stuff.

WWE has a "Where are they now?" feature on Norman Smiley. Very good read, especially when it gets into the training aspects and what it takes to make a Superstar or Diva.

Evan Bourne is scheduled to return by the 12/19 Raw following TLC. That would be more than a 30-day suspension, so I'm not sure why he'll be out that long.

Update:  He's not advertised until then, with Mason Ryan temporarily taking his place. Very interesting.

John Morrison isn't advertised for anything after the 11/28 Raw, which could very well be a hint into his WWE future (or lack thereof).

Kevin Nash is being regularly advertised for house shows, so he might as well be considered a roster member at this point.

Sin Cara was never booked for the European tour, possibly because when the plans were set out months back, he was still suspended. Hunico was on the tour, though.

Gregory Iron was profiled by Sports Illustrated. It's mentioned that WWE could bring him in. Very touching story.

WWE has 17 show concepts for the upcoming WWE Network that fans can give their opinions on. Some sound quite entertaining.

Here's the 39th episode of Z! True Long Island Story. I wasn't crazy about Morrison's spot but the relationship quip was interesting. Ziggler was good, though. I like the wig.

WWE posted a video remembering Killer Karl Kox.

Impact Wrestling did a 1.23 on Thursday night. Not bad.

That's all for Friday's news. More to come later tonight. Thanks for reading!
