Maryse done with wrestling, Miz talks Survivor Series, Beth and Punk interviews, WWE 12 launch trailer, Impact Wrestling post-show, Questions on WWE-Fear Factor, backup career plans, 3-hour Impacts, Xplosion, and Melina-TNA, WWE's Twitter moments, Cody talks Zelda, Grantland looks at Survivor Series, Jericho interview, Impact Wrestling rating, another WWE.com redesign incoming,

Maryse said in a recent interview that she's done with wrestling, specifically ruling out TNA. That's not hugely surprising. I grew to like her as a character and in the ring but I don't think this was a massive loss for the industry. I hope where she goes from here is good for her. The Miz also talked up his match for Sunday. Entertaining guy.

Beth Phoenix was interviewed ahead of Survivor Series. Good read. It is kind of weird that characters who bully on TV preach anti-bullying. I'm not really sure what the way around that is in kayfabe other than not having heels do the campaign.

C.M. Punk was also interviewed on WWE '12 and Survivor Series, and like any of his interviews, it's a good read.

Here's the WWE '12 launch trailer. They've done a great job pushing this one as something new and distinct.

Here's the Impact Wrestling post-show.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and notes, starting with a look at PWInsider.com's questions.
1. There's always that chance. It'd be kind of cool.

2. Not much to add here. That can be a tough decision for some to make. Get more wrestling experience early when you might not end up making that much money and/or getting signed, or get that degree and possibly start a few years behind others? But yes, there are a number of performers who had/have backup plans.

3. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE THEM THAT IDEA!!?? Seriously though, the only reason Raw gets those is because USA knows they can pull in nice numbers. I don't know if Spike's that confident in Impact Wrestling yet. Maybe down the line.

4. There's either not enough demand for it here or they can't find a network to air it. Again, I don't think they're doing THAT well yet.

5. She has to want to be signed! The last I heard was that she "hadn't decided yet" about going there. It's possible that her decision will be tied to John Morrison's future, but I don't know that for a fact (and am not too familiar with their relationship status). We MIGHT find out more once his WWE status is decided one way or another later in the month. As talents, I'd like to see them both in TNA, but how often in wrestling do things go exactly as fans want them?

Here's a video of all the Twitter references @WWE made this week on #Raw.

Cody Rhodes talked about his memories of playing the Zelda franchise.

Grantland.com looked at the early Survivor Series PPVs. Very good read.

Chris Jericho talked about WWE, TNA, returning, and more in a recent interview.

Punk had another interview as well.

Impact Wrestling pulled in a 1.15 on Thursday, which is a shame because that was one of their better shows in quite a while. Some have linked its performance to the big NFL game that night.

WWE hired SapientNitro to redesign its website, which is scheduled to be updated sometime early next year.

Finally, Jim Ross turned down a spot on Dancing With The Stars. I'll never be able to get that dance out of my brain.

That's all for Friday's news. More to come later. Thanks for reading!
