Phoenix update, Credible interview, Questions on custom DVDs, witnessing wrestling history live, stop-start pushes, booking Cena, and Dixie losing TNA, Austin comments on Leavine release, New Jack interview, new FCW signing, WWE live event moved, why Edge made a cameo on the 4/23 Raw, Phoenix update, Raw rating and the 4/24 taping dark match

WWE says that Beth Phoenix has a severe sprain to her left ankle as a result of her match with Nikki Bella. It was initially feared to be broken. More on this as it comes out.

Justin Credible was interviewed about working with ECW and how the business has changed.

For my take on the 4/24 PWInsider.com questions:
1. Maybe. It's not a bad idea, but I don't know how much demand there is for it. I like the iTunes idea, though. Maybe they should do something like that for PPVs, so we could buy individual matches. Just an idea.

2. That certainly sounds like something awesome to witness. I haven't been quite that lucky yet.

3. I can't do much but point at their answer here. It's rare that someone can stay over without the company getting (staying) behind them. Getting over on your own can only take you so far.

After the break, I go into everything else from 4/24. Next up, looking at the booking of Rock/Cena.

4. I see the frustration. They routinely book current and future stars to look weaker than the already established juggernauts. When Hollywood and UFC are better paths to pushes than working the road 200+ days a year for years, there's a serious problem with the company.

5. That's a little disrespectful-sounding, but it brings up a good question. How poor does performance have to be before they bring in some people who know how to run the company?

Steve Austin tweeted about Andy Leavine being released. I respect his judgment on the matter. Of course, we only saw what was televised and not the hours of other footage the judges were privy to.

The always entertaining New Jack talked about a multitude of subjects.

WWE has signed Austin Draven from Vendetta Pro Wrestling to a developmental contract.I wish him the best of luck.

WWE moved a live event in Texas from 7/20 to 7/6. They've been doing that a lot lately, and I'm not really sure why.

Edge was put on TV as part of a last-minute attempt to re-sign him. It's apparently not solely a money issue, but a case of WWE assuming he'd sign back. If we get more promos like Edge gave to Cena, he can stick around in my book.

Beth Phoenix was not really injured on the 4/23 Raw, though she sold it to the point that there were people backstage who thought that she had been. She even played it up in front of fans at the Detroit airport. That's pretty cool. Well done. The injury was done to do the Divas' Title switch.

The 4/23 Raw got a 3.0, with a 3.3 in its normal 2-hour time slot. Hours were 2.48, 3.22 and 3.41. Not bad, but not great either.

Finally, FCW performer Dean Ambrose had a dark match against a local talent ahead of the 4/24 Smackdown taping. With him getting this much attention, WWE must have good plans for him. Right?

That's all for 4/24's news. More to come tomorrow, after the 4/25 NXT. Thanks for reading!
