WWE Extreme Rules thoughts

Extreme Rules is here. Former WWE and UFC Champion Brock Lesnar returns to face John Cena, C.M. Punk collides with Chris Jericho in a Chicago Street Fight for the WWE Championship, Sheamus goes 2-out of-3 falls with Daniel Bryan for the World Title, and every other match on the card has a special stipulation. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happened.
If you're going to have a Falls Count Anywhere match, it might as well spill out into the crowd.

Good use of Ryder.

Lots of weapon use early in the PPV.

Good build for Orton to get the hardcore win over Kane. Given the age difference, that was probably the right call.

The Chicago crowd likes Ziggler. I'm glad fans appreciate his hard work.

Of course, Big Show starts the match dominant. That gets really old.

Good work by Cody here.

Stupid way to get the title off of Show. I hope that was just a botch.

Rhodes gets the title back, but looks weak. Bad booking.

Good start to Sheamus vs. Bryan. These two can bring it.

Nice ROH reference with Bryan using the ropes.

Didn't expect a hurricanrana from Bryan.

Nice intensity from Bryan.

Nice story to the first 2 falls as well.

Very good match from two guys who should have gotten to do this at Mania. Instead, we had stupid backstage segments and a fluff Divas match.

And Ryback murders two people. Not sure where they should go with him from here since he's still fairly inexperienced.

Good work from Punk and Jericho early.

Very intense work from Punk and Jericho. Good use of Punk's sister.

If Jericho wins, they can strip him of the title for drinking like he tried to do with Punk.

Amazing match from both guys. Much praise from me for that one.

And then Layla won the title out of nowhere. I missed a lot, eh?

Lesnar's just killing Cena here.

Very intense ass-kicking from Lesnar.

Damn. That's a main event.

Good promo to end the show. All-in-all a solid show!

That's all for my thoughts on Extreme Rules. I should be back with the 4/30 Raw tonight. The 4/29 news post is up next. Thanks for reading!
