Interviews with Hall/Sheamus/Malenko/Iron Sheik, Cena correction, NJPW PPV update, when Smackdown will change nights, more on ECW Exposed, Cena press, WWE producer's son wrestling, Impact audience, and Questions on ROH-GFW, LU, older content on the Network, and Sami Zayn

Scott Hall talked about his son training to be in wrestling and more. I really appreciate Hall having his son work other places before coming to NXT, so he has to pay his dues like some of the other talents had to. I definitely think the Freebirds should be in the Hall of Fame. Also, big kudos to the Bad Guy for turning his life around and staying clean. I hope that's a permanent change.

John Cena was filming a cameo for "Parks & Recreation" Monday. Keeping him off WWE TV for any reason is good by me, but I know he has a lot of fans who wanted to see him there.

NJPW's Jan. 4 PPV is slated to go four hours, as is usually the length of the event. I'm curious to see how it will be received in the States.

Update: ROH is not expected to pull talents from that event, which I'm sure a lot of fans are happy about (well, "a lot" by ROH standards).

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Smackdown will officially be moving to Thursdays starting Jan. 15. I'm ready. I think that's a better timeslot for them anyway.

Update: NXT will be moving to Wednesdays once that change takes place. Superstars will likely do the same. One reason WWE waited to officially announce the move was to get everything squared away with taping NXT in Full Sail.

Paul Heyman and Joey Styles are taking questions for Monday's special on Twitter using the hashtag #ECWExposed. It could be quite the night if they can answer any questions the fans have about ECW.

Updated: Paul Heyman and Taz had some back-and-forth on Twitter about WWE Network having an ECW Week. Taz has spoken out against ECW reunion specials, etc. for years. I do think the concept of bringing back ECW and its veterans has been done too much. ECW worked because it broke the mold of what the big companies were doing, not by copying what another promotion did more than a decade previous. I think if TNA had gone with that route more, they would have had more success.

Sheamus talked about his favorite rivals and more. Goldust was instrumental in Sheamus' early WWE career. I'm glad Sheamus gave him props.

Dean Malenko talked about feuding with Eddie Guerrero in ECW. I definitely didn't expect the name C.M. Punk to appear there. I didn't get to see Malenko or Guerrero until they were the Radicalz in WWF, so I missed some highly-rated action.

John Cena made an appearance on the Today Show as part of granting wishes. This is one reason WWE pushes him so much and won't turn him heel.

Finlay's son was profiled for his own wrestling in the UK. I hope he follows in the footsteps of his talented dad and becomes a success in WWE.

The Iron Sheik reviewed metal bands in a NSFW clip. It's entertaining, but I don't know if he's all there these days. I think Hogan started the Metallica rumor himself.

Impact's audience Wednesday night was 930,000, up from 911,000 the previous week. The content has been really good, but there's obviously an air of futility for following the product at this point.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm sure Vince is shaking in his boots. Double J has shown in the past he can be a big threat to WWF. Remember how high ratings were when he was WCW Champ, crushing the company that owed him on back pay? Remember how TNA dominated WWE week in and week out while Jarrett was in charge? And ROH, they're really making a dent with their syndicated TV show and occasional PPV presence.

Seriously, you're delusional if you think ROH and Jarrett can pose a threat to Vince any time in the near future. I respect the hell out of Jarrett and want his venture to succeed, but there's no way they're going to be on WWE's level unless the landscape really changes.

2. LU has been really highly praised, and apparently it only gets better from here. If they can stay hot for when Del Rio and (presumably) Rey can work there, El Rey might end up with a hit on their hands. Before anyone starts, it is WAY too early to ask if they're a threat to Vince. They've got a lot of market penetration to go before that's even a consideration.

3. I also think it'd be good to release that stuff in smaller chunks to keep people hooked. Too long of a wait and the audience moves on to something else.

4. Possibly! I think he could be poised for big things if they don't get caught up on his size (and they shouldn't).

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
