Interview with Punk, NXT live event notes, GFW note, recently-returned TNA name gone, Smackdown audience, DBD dark match, and Questions on the BDC situation, Bischoff, and the concussion lawsuits

C.M. Punk addressed a few WWE topics in an interview discussing his progress toward a debut in UFC. Nothing really groundbreaking there. He's moved on from that part of his life.

Here are results from this weekend's NXT live event. Good to see some new names on the card. Hopefully Crowe and Uhaa are the next names to be spotlighted.

GFW made use of a six-sided ring for their TV taping. I hope it's not too long before we see it make its way to the air. I've avoided spoilers for a reason.

Everything else from yesterday (excluding the Hulk Hogan situation, which will get its own post) is after the break.

Bully Ray has left TNA, again, after being upset at the direction the company is taking, again. This shouldn't surprise anyone. I wouldn't be shocked if he was offered some kind of role at Takeover:Brooklyn, leading to him leaving TNA for greener pastures. He's been trying to get back into WWE for a while now, and had pretty much squeezed all he could out of working in TNA. Hopefully the company's not dumb enough to try to bring him back in if/when WWE gets everything they can out of him.

Update: TNA claims Bully didn't quit (since he wasn't under contract) and the angle was just meant to be a short-term thing. Apparently they filmed the ending to the angle before this week's taping. We'll see. I think bringing in a major authority figure just for one set of tapings is pretty lolTNA to begin with, so it's not like they look much better if he didn't quit.

Smackdown's audience was up to 2.35 million this week. I hope they do better on USA.

Before Death Before Dishonor, Donovan Dijak beat Watanabe. We've seen Watanabe a good deal lately.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I don't know if there was heat on MVP specifically. Hernandez indicated he was contractually free from LU, and TNA took him at his word. There should be heat on Hernandez if anything (and probably on whomever was supposed to confirm him being contractually free). As for the BDC, the group is done. As far as I know, Kenny King is still part of TNA. Not sure about Homicide given his injury.

Update: Homicide has been removed from TNA's roster, so he's out of the equation as well.

Nothing to add to 2.

3. Indeed! In fact, he and Garett sued for money they're owed. I wouldn't expect the Bischoffs returning there.

4. No. The lawyers putting forth the anti-WWE lawsuits are the ones who should be ashamed for suckering those people in.

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling coming up.
