What happened after Raw, new GFW match, more on Amell-WWE, more from Piper, Diva excitement, Interview with Bischoff, Kane update, Ziggler contract update, Raw audience, WWE Q2 note, Alberto addresses missed event, and Questions on Austin vs. Piper, Owens vs. Lesnar, Titus vs. JBL, Otunga, and Tough Enough

After Raw, Seth Rollins defended the WWE Championship against Roman Reigns. Bray Wyatt got involved for the DQ, leading to Dean Ambrose making the save. The babyfaces stood tall to end the night. If WWE wasn't pushing those people in top roles, they could have ended the taping with something like Cena and Orton vs. Big Show and Sheamus. But no, Vince IS pushing new stars whether people want to see what's going on or not.

The Bollywood Boyz vs. Akbars has been added to GFW's Tag Team Championship tournament, and they're expected to compete at the first taping. I'm really curious to know what the TV prospects for this are. While obviously a lot of people watch things online now, rights fees are still a big source of income.

Stardust hinted the feud between himself and Stephen Amell is not over. They've got to do something between those two at Summerslam, right?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Roddy Piper is alleging he's received a cease-and-desist letter from PodcastOne. I don't see any way that would hold up legally. Also, WWE sources have confirmed he's still under a Legends contract. I'm starting to think this is all exaggerated on his part.

A number of wrestling personalities Tweeted in regards to Monday's Divas angle. I have faith in all three new Divas as far as success goes. Obviously NXT won't replace them overnight, but this gives some new people down there a chance to show what they can do.

Eric Bischoff talked about WCW in 1994. A pretty good education about how the business works (hint: it's not as easy "put on five-star matches."

WWE is saying Kane will be out "indefinitely." It's expected he'll return as a babyface. As much as I enjoy J&J Security, I hope this is leading to the end of The Authority as a faction. It's pretty much been run into the ground at this point.

Dolph Ziggler has been confirmed as having signed a new WWE contract. He'll be missing a few weeks to film a movie for the company, but that should wrap up right before Summerslam. Maybe he returns at that event to set up a return bout with Rusev?

Raw's audience Monday was 3.54 million, which is kind of disappointing for a show featuring Brock Lesnar. We'll see how things look after Battleground.

WWE will report their Q2 financial results on July 30. That will be a big day to see how the Network is doing.

Alberto El Patron tweeted about missing his recent booking. I hope he's OK and sorts things out with the promoters.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I also think asking PodcastOne to remove an episode he didn't like was disappointing to say the least. It'd be different if it was something malicious or outrageous, although even then that's kind of an abuse of power. Austin's a public figure, and is just as subject to parody as someone like Donald Trump.

2. I think Lesnar's a more long-term opponent for Owens. There's nowhere to go on the card but down after that feud. Honestly we're probably in for a big blowoff match between Cena and Owens at Summerslam, which would make sense.

3. It was probably at least partially ad libbed. It was pretty great, though.

4. He hosts the Raw pre-show every week. He's also a good public face for the company for PR purposes. Considering he does have that regular role, I think he could stay there as long as they feel it's cost-effective to use him in that manner. It's not like he's being paid to sit at home and do nothing right now.

5. WWE's aim is to get ratings from a reality show. They already have avenues to scout viable talents.

More wrestling tomorrow.
