WWE live event notes including BitE, and Questions on jumping from ROH to TNA, utilizing Mark Henry, J&J Security, Tough Enough, Ziggler's character, Wyatt, the Steiners, Bryan's injury, and Sting's legacy

Brad Maddox teamed with Heath Slater in a loss to the Meta-Powers on a live event this weekend. It's probably a combination of him filling in for injured stars and WWE trying to figure out what to do with him. He's been doing live events and dark matches here and there lately, for what that's worth.

WWE is said to have been pleased with how many people watched Beast in the East. That hopefully means more shows like that in the future.

Michael Cole and Byron Saxton did commentary for BitE from WWE HQ. It's amazing they were able to keep it in time with something happening across the globe.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Kenta Kobashi was backstage at BitE. He's considered one of the best Japanese talents ever and has been brought in to work ROH in the past.

Here's a live report from WWE's North American live event on July 4. Adam Rose is even less interesting without Rosa Mendes. It's a shame he's fallen so far after what was an entertaining gimmick.

For my take on the first set of yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. As it stands right now, talents get more regular work in ROH. It's a company that seems to be trending upward and featuring important talents. We don't even know if TNA will be on the air by the end of the year.

2. As was said, Henry can't seem to remain consistently healthy. Plus, he's been pretty open about retiring sooner rather than later. I can't say I blame them for using Kane and Big Show in a similar role to what he used to do.

3. I'd like to think they get paid for their on-screen appearances in addition to what they do behind the scenes. They're still producers first and foremost, and will likely go back to just doing that whenever The Authority angle finally wraps up. They're definitely not going back to wrestling full-time.

4. Not really. We knew it was a reality show going in.

5. I think that's all part of his gimmick of being full of himself and his ability. It would seem to work better for a heel, but the fans are hesitant to boo someone who works so hard.

For my take on the second set of yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That was actually a pretty deep thought. WWE IS fake or real, depending on how one defines real.

2. Bray tests his opponents mentally for whatever reason. He's not there to be the ass-kicking WWE Champion. He's there to torment people. People are REALLY exaggerating his booking with this "buried" shit. I do hope he gets a bigger role and tries to brainwash people and all that fun stuff, but feuding with the guy who was in the WWE Title picture at WrestleMania is hardly a sign of Management throwing him under a bus.

3. I see very little chance they give Scott a live mic anytime soon! That's if they'd be willing to work around the Hogan issue. Steiner was banned from the HoF last time for a reason. Hopefully we do see it one day, along with some other WCW mainstays.

4. Because it was WrestleMania season and he headlined the show last year. That usually means a grueling schedule. They wanted to use him in a pretty big way and didn't know he'd end up getting hurt again.

5. Absolutely Sting's one of the most important performers ever. Otherwise WWE wouldn't have cared to bring him in 14 years after WCW closed down.

More wrestling tomorrow.
