More Hogan fallout, new GM for Australia tour, Interviews with Virgil, Alicia update, another ROH match for Philly, Sting-Summerslam update, WWE Diva retires, another big Brock appearance, and Questions on who to blame for the state of TNA, Owens at Summerslam, rudy poos, Adam Rose, and Rollins' future

Shawn Michaels will replace Hulk Hogan as the GM for WWE's tour of Australia. Many fans there are seeking refunds after spending hundreds of dollars on VIP packages and the like to see Hulk. So, comments Hogan made in a private place when he wasn't aware he was being recorded are now really costing WWE and Hogan fans. What Hogan said has been and deserves to be derided. But should the punishment be this heavy?

Wrestling superstar Virgil was interviewed by Sports Illustrated and Fox Sports:
- It's disappointing to know a lot of Shieky Baby's tweets are ghostwritten. They're great, though.

- Virgil needs to get a legitimate, steady source of income from somewhere. At some point, whatever market there is for Virgil merchandise is going to dry up.

Booker T. will address the Hulk Hogan issue on his radio show this week. I think all that really needs to be said has been said. Hulk said some really bad things, and he needs to be out of the spotlight for a while to re-evaluate things.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Alicia Fox's concussion is said to be mild, which is good news. She hasn't been cleared to get back in the ring yet, though.

Mattel has halted production on planned Hulk Hogan action figures. They might even pull what's already on the shelves. So, they're losing a lot of money, too. This is getting way out of hand.

Matt Sydal (formerly Evan Bourne) will compete with NJPW star KUSHIDA on ROH's live event on Aug. 21. ROH is using NJPW talent quite a bit; NJPW is really looking to have its talent work more outside of Japan. That COULD lead to some of their names working NXT events, but right now that's not a given. Liger is a special case.

Surprisingly, Sting is not currently a part of WWE's plans for Summerslam. If WWE wants that show to be as big as it can be, they need to quickly reconsider. Especially now that they need to fill four hours.

Layla has officially retired from WWE. I can't say I'm surprised, given how little we've seen of her lately. She gave an exit interview to WWE.com:
- She's come a long way since winning the Diva Search.

- She gave the fans almost nine years. That's quite the run for a Diva.

- I hope she does great things post-WWE. Her fiance is the former Ricky Ortiz of the ECW brand.

- Emma is really underrated.

- I think Layla really accomplished a lot. She should be proud. I wish injuries hadn't taken their toll and we would have gotten to see more of her post-Laycool.

Brock Lesnar will appear at the October 3 WWE live event in MSG, which is also set to feature Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler. Can you say WWE Network special?

More racist statements from Hulk Hogan have been unearthed. Yes, he's a despicable person in his private life. Or at least was during that time period.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Probably Hogan given the big changes he pushed for that were ultimately very costly. I don't know who should get the blame for some of the talent signings they had that weren't the draws they used to be (Foley, Nash, etc.), but they also hurt the company's growth.

2. Sadly there are people who will believe just about anything as far as "burials" go, and some sites really prey on that. I don't suppose I really blame those sites since people fall for it every time. The fact of the matter is once a talent has worked a lengthy program with Cena, there's not much higher on the WWE ladder to climb. Pretty much everything else is a step down. That doesn't mean WWE's out to "bury" someone or doesn't have faith in them or whatever. WWE can only have so many people in the main event picture at one time, and everyone else has to be below that threshold. Owens isn't booked for Summerslam right now, but neither are a lot of other people who will end up on the card.

3. Iceman actually teamed with Rocky Johnson, so Rock probably picked it up from there.

4. He's had pretty regular appearances on Superstars and Main Event, as well as some showings on NXT here and there. He's a heel who's sometimes managed by Rosa Mendes.

5. I doubt we've seen his last title reign. I could see him as this generation's Edge (or C.M. Punk for that matter).

More wrestling tomorrow.
