Sonjay Dutt talked about GFW, the Jarretts, and more. I'm ready for the company to get off the ground after so long of it being in the works. Nick Aldis as the first champion would work for me given he was recently World Champion in TNA.
GFW has announced a tour for the UK in October. I wonder if we'll see any more current TNA names there. Or former names for that matter. Does Rob Terry still wrestle?
One of the reasons for bringing back Undertaker is to keep WWE Network subscriptions. The latest subscriber numbers will be released at the end of the month, so the timing was key.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
NXT's Tyler Breeze did an interview. I don't remember FCW stars getting this number of interviews.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There are definitely people in WWE really behind Owens. Look how much he's done in just eight months from debuting on NXT. Only the most die-hard Owens supporters have reason to be upset about him losing after more than 20 minutes with Cena. It took 3 AA's, including one from the top rope, to get him to tap. Marks look at that and say he put up a hell of a fight. In that way, they're smarter than the people who just look at wins and losses.
2. That's not a bad idea if they think there are enough LU fans who would donate. LU only has a buzz among die-hard wrestling fans. It airs in fewer homes than ROH or TNA. Let's not overestimate things here.
3. I wonder if mainstream fans would even be into that. It could definitely be crazy with that many fans.
4. I know MVP was on pretty good terms with Johnny Ace, but he's not in charge of Talent Relations now. I don't know if either side is really interested in going that route.
5. They own the footage of when Punk wrestled in ROH. I think it makes sense to promote their success stories. It's sort of like WWE's open featuring Andre and other legends.
More wrestling tomorrow.
