WWE's King of the Ring competitors have been announced as:
- Elias
- The Miz
- Kevin Owens
- Chad Gable
- Andrade
- Shelton Benjamin
- Buddy Murphy
- Ricochet
- Cedric Alexander
- Drew McIntyre
- Cesaro
- Baron Corbin
- Sami Zayn
- Ali
- Apollo Crews
- Samoa Joe
-- There are certainly opportunities for someone to get on the map in this tournament.

The Viking Warriors' Raw opponents compete in Ontario's Barrie Wrestling.

The Bella Twins represented WWE at the Teen Choice Awards.

Ric Flair will appear at the Monster Mania convention in New Jersey this weekend.

Chavo Guerrero is on Stone Cold's latest podcast.

WWE co-president Michelle Wilson recently sold more than 158,000 shares of WWE stock, leaving her with only around 42,000 shares. The sale was said to be for personal reasons. That's a major unloading of stock!

Raw has set a United States Championship match for Monday, with AJ Styles defending against Braun Strowman. That makes sense after this week's episode!

Natalya's "dislocated elbow" is entirely a storyline.

Sasha Banks' return was covered by the New York Post. That's pretty cool. I'm glad she's back.

WWE has canceled Raw live events on:
- August 23 and August 24 in Louisiana
- August 25 in Alabama
- August 30 and August 31 in Maine
-- On the plus side WWE is finally taking action on the live event business. Hopefully this is part of a big shift in that department.

Dr. Wagner, Jr. will compete at Impact's Mexico TV tapings this weekend. That's pretty cool!

Ethan Page discussed Impact's current state and more. The show is getting really good reviews these days.

Impact Wrestling's Thursday TV taping has announced Tennille Dashwood vs. Kiera Hogan in Tennille's Impact debut.

King of the Ring's finals will be held at Clash of Champions. That's in Cedric Alexander's hometown, so there's a chance he has a BIG moment next month.

AEW's October 9 TV taping has added Jon Moxley vs. Shawn Spears. The show will open with the Young Bucks vs. Private Party, which is a pretty good way to start a show!

Stone Cold discussed The Rock, John Cena, and more.

Smackdown Live's October 4 taping is locally advertising Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship in what is likely a planned dark match.

NJPW's August 31 UK event will air on FITE.

Raw drew 2.73 million viewers coming off Summerslam. That's a pretty nice boost.

Batista will star in and produce a movie called "Traphouse." He's fully jumped into that world.

Roman Reigns has signed a multi-year WWE deal. I expect him to continue to be a centerpiece of things.

Brock Lesnar is locally advertised for Smackdown Live's 20th anniversary show, but he has not been announced. I could see him going after Kofi's title.

The Super J Cup will feature Tetsuya Naito, Jay White, and Juice Robinson in non-tournament matches on the August 25 show. Obviously there's more room to fill on those events.

NWA has signed Ricky Starks. He will be at the September 30 and October 1 tapings.

ROH's August 24 TV taping has added:
- Villain Enterprises' PCO and Brody King vs. LifeBlood's Tracy Williams and Mark Haskins, the night before the two teams clash for the Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
- PJ Black vs. Chase Owens vs. LSG, where the winner will challenge for the TV Championship the next night. I like the integration of the consecutive shows, although of course it sounds funny for the TV Title match to be the one not on TV!

Before Smackdown Live, Ali defeated Andrade. This could be a King of the Ring preview!

After Smackdown Live, Heavy Machinery defeated Daniel Bryan and Rowan by disqualification. I'm glad Bryan and Rowan didn't lose by pinfall given how they're being presented as opponents for Roman.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. In hindsight, no. Alexa and Nikki as champions is a much more interesting story. I love Asuka and Kairi, but they've really got something with the Bliss/Cross pairing.

2. Definitely not as good as Sasha and Bayley's reign. Their run cooled the title off after a hot start, and frankly the act got overexposed.

3. They've really got their work cut out for them going it alone. If they were working with Impact, ROH, and/or MLW, they'd still have an uphill battle, but not as drastic as they're going to have now. There aren't going to be many talents who pick NWA over other options. I do think the product has a chance at reaching an interesting nice, though. It will take a lot of time and a lot of things going right, but there's a chance it works.

4. Honestly as little as they use the Colons, it would be weird to bring up they still work there, since I doubt they're going to start appearing more in the months to come.

5. It can definitely be argued his character was overexposed and it was time for a break from him. He did have a pretty prominent run that wasn't particularly well received.

More wrestling tomorrow.
