WWE has new job postings for:
- A WWE Studios director for scripted development and programming
- A social media editor
- A digital content producer

Roman Reigns spoke to ET Canada, TMZ Sports, and Complex about "Hobbs & Shaw" and wrestling. People have already joked that he'll be the next guy a future up-and-coming star buries for being a movie star first and wrestler second.

AEW's October 2 TV taping has added Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and two mystery partners. Hmmm, LAX?

Braun Strowman discussed working with SNL's Michael Che and Colin Jost and more.

R-Truth and Carmella spoke before Smackdown Live. Typical Truth silliness.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are doing a meet-and-greet to promote Connor's Cure. That's great.

WWE Network's upgrades were covered by The Verge.

Charlotte Flair has a meet-and-greet set in Michigan on August 6.

Summerslam will have a "Superstore" like WrestleMania week has. I can see why they want to make that weekend even more profitable.

Finn Balor appeared on FS1's MLS All-Star pregame to promote Smackdown Live moving to FOX.

NXT's Karen Q has had surgery for her broken ankle. This was originally reported as a broken leg. There's no word on when she's set to return.

Smackdown Live drew 1.91 million viewers Tuesday night. That's a drop from last week.

Impact's events this weekend will be free for military members. Honestly they could probably use the attendance boost.

Su Yung is working in Japan on August 25, for both DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro. Good to see her get that opportunity!

LAX are advertised for Impact's August 15 and August 16 events in Mexico. So, they will at least be at those shows before potentially heading elsewhere in September.

- TJP is advertised for those tapings, as well as September 5 and September 6 in Nevada, so he's at least doing that much for Impact. Notably he's not listed as part of Impact's roster.

Netflix's "The Toys That Made Us" will have WWE stars past and present on a wrestling toy episode. Of course, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins have a YouTube series dealing with toys.

Rikidozan-era Japan is the subject of a just-released book. He was a cultural icon there.

Smackdown Live has canceled all its live events this weekend in what's being listed as a scheduling conflict. I have a feeling that means we'll see both brands on one set of shows this weekend. I hope so, at any rate, if that brand's going to miss three paydays.

Natalya trained at the WWE Performance Center this week.

- Meiko Satomura was a guest coach there recently.

The Bella Twins' "Celebrity Family Feud" episode will air on August 18.

The Rock put over Drew McIntyre as a future top star. That's awesome! There are quite a few workers who have what it takes to break out.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. discussed writing for WWE. Some pretty entertaining/interesting stuff from his time there.

Rhino signed a multi-year Impact contract, which he discussed in an interview.

Allysin Kay has joined Bloodsport II.

CaZXL discussed wrestling, depression, and more. I'm really curious what he does next.

David Arquette is on Chris Jericho's latest podcast. I unironically want to see him appear at All Out's inevitable battle royal match.

Cain Velasquez discussed working for AAA and more. I'm glad he's getting serious training instead of just waltzing in to a big payday.

MMA's Colby Covington will use Kurt Angle's theme this weekend. That's pretty funny.

The Super J Cup has added CMLL's Caristico as well as Taiji Ishimori. Good to see the former Sin Cara in the spotlight again.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. To some degree we wouldn't know until decades after the fact, given how long we've had to judge the importance of Hogan and Luger. It would definitely be incredibly unexpected, and honestly feel pretty out of place given how WWE has treated him.

2. It would get a LOT of eyeballs on AEW. In theory it would show that anyone can appear there, even top-tier WWE names, so a lot of fans would be watching and following to see what moves were next.

3. It's not so much a case of using "mature" elements as using those elements effectively. If every other promo has curse words and every other feud has blood, it becomes meaningless. If those things are just done to shock people or to add something to a feud that is otherwise lacking, it comes across as cheap. Cody vs. Dustin felt epic enough to deserve blood. Shawn Spears is still seen as the guy who did cartwheels and held up ten fingers so him suddenly being a badass holding a decade-plus grudge is harder to swallow. The unprotected chair shot was kind of a "get a lot of heat/attention for free" card.

4. I haven't watched it, because realistically I only have time to follow a certain number of shows and give them the attention they deserve.

5. Either because they're always ready to compete or to shill their merchandise and get more money in their pocket!

More wrestling tomorrow.
