WWE working on major international TV deal, TNT and Cody respond to "blood and guts," AEW broadcast plans, NXT-FS1 update, AEW taping capacity, AEW PPV update, more Summerslam matches coming, WWE addressing Raw hour declines, CMLL planning expansion, Cain getting AAA press, why Santino's working DDT, why NJPW isn't part of Global Wars, Wild Card Rule update, WWE expected to sign top lucha name, Bischoff transition update, new Hidden Gem, Colons working Puerto Rico, PJ opening South African promotion, Barrett cameo, assorted wrestling press, AEW referee signed, Zayn+Renee doing charity comedy show, UK promotion closes, another AEW TV announcement, Interview with Dustin Rhodes, and Questions on how many Ligers there are, WCW vs. NJPW, AEW signing Stunt, Roman's attacker, and Flair not speaking at Raw Reunion

WWE's next Indian TV deal is expected to bring more revenue than their UK deal due to a large increase in right fees. That's definitely great news, and WWE's biggest financial strength right now is the content they provide for TV.

TNT noticed Vince McMahon's stockholder comments regarding AEW's "blood and guts," and saw them as a way to try to keep advertisers away from the upcoming TV show. Of course, AEW doesn't intend to do that level of hardcore content on TNT.

AEW's TNT show is expected to air live in the Western U.S., as a sport broadcast would.

NXT airing on FS1 could be held up by that channel having a deal to air college basketball games on Wednesday nights. Of course, the main reason WWE is considering putting NXT on the station is to counter AEW, so other nights aren't ideal.

AEW's first TV taping is being setup for 14,000 fans, which is what WWE would set the venue up for. That would be another attendance record for AEW.

AEW intends to have another PPV before he end of 2019, in the vein of Double or Nothing and All Out. TV could be a big game-changer for that show.

Summerslam internally has the following matches added:
- Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler (with Goldberg replacing Miz)
- Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan
- The IIconics vs. the Kabuki Warriors vs. Sonya Deville/Mandy Rose vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross for the Women's Tag Team Championship
- Drew Gulak vs. Oney Lorcan for the Cruiserweight Championship
- Drew McIntyre vs. Cedric Alexander
-- So, it's going to be a pretty full, long show.

WWE is looking to boost Raw's third hour by holding on to key stars and angles until then. The company is also now consciously trying to appeal to a younger audience, since they see that as a key demographic for AEW. So they are aware of the numbers and the threat of competition and are committed to fixing things.

CMLL is looking to do more business outside of Mexico, including tours and working relationships. They're also looking to do a streaming service like WWE Network.

ROH working more with CMLL was a CMLL call and will continue to grow under CMLL's new leadership. I'm not shocked it's CMLL making things happen in that relationship.

ESPN will be covering TripleMania, due in no small part to Cain Velasquez's involvement.

- Velasquez is looking to do more dates with AAA, and potentially transition into wrestling entirely at some point.

Santino Marella working DDT was due to him being in Japan to see the judo world championships.

NJPW isn't pairing with ROH for Global Wars due to NJPW feeling their talents are already working a lot of U.S. shows soon, so it's less wear-and-tear on talents if they don't do that tour. ROH has greatly benefited from being paired with NJPW, so I hope they're taking note of how things are playing out.

WWE's Wild Card Rule is expected to end once Smackdown Live moves to FOX, with a couple of exceptions here and there. I would think the 24/7 Championship would still be on both brands for obvious reasons. There could be some official roster shifts, but the current lineups for each brand are expected to mostly stay the same.

WWE is expected to sign El Hijo del Fantasma/King Cuerno shortly, and some other key names could join around the same time. WWE has been interested in him for a while, but was unable to sign him due to his Lucha Underground contract.

Bruce Prichard is working with Eric Bischoff in a key role on Smackdown Live, as Bischoff continues to transition into his new role.

WWE Network's latest Hidden Gem is Summerslam Spectacular 1993 that aired on USA Network. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan vs. Yokozuna was the headline match.

The Colons are working WWC's Anniversary show on August 17, as is Eli Drake. WWE allows Primo and Epico to do some dates there while still under contract.

PJ Black is putting together a promotion in South Africa. The first show on October 27 will include Rob Van Dam, the former Kaitlyn, and Katie Forbes in addition to Black. RVD and Black are facing off to declare the company's first champion.

Gangrel is at the WWE Performance Center as a guest coach this week. I would have loved to have seen him on Raw Reunion with Boogeyman.

The former Wade Barrett was on Comedy Central's Alternatino this week.

Hornswoggle's autobiography got press.

Raw's Saturday night live event got press.

AEW referee Bryce Remsburg has signed a full-time deal. He will also have an office role in the company. It's not just wrestlers getting paying opportunities from this venture.

AEW was covered by Critical Hit:
- OK pump the brakes. The face-mask was legitimate and a good followup from Dashing. The mustache was Cody's idea to return after he had been hurt for a month.

- Omega left WWE a LONG time ago and the Bucks were never signed, so neither are really tied to Cody's situation. Sloppy writing.

- Some of this writing is pretty cringeworthy.

- Calling Omega a legend is a little much. This overenthusiasm is part of why I'm not fully on the AEW bandwagon.

Sami Zayn and Renee Young are doing a charity comedy show Summerslam weekend to benefit Syrian medical care. That's pretty cool.

Cody discussed whether AEW needs to reach casual fans to be successful. AEW has surprised a lot of people and defied a lot of expectations, so maybe Cody's right to focus on established Elite fans.

UK promotion Defiant Wrestling, formerly WhatCulture Pro Wrestling, has announced its closing. That's unfortunate; it started off pretty prominently.

Cody responded to Vince McMahon's "blood and guts" comments. Smartly, Cody didn't actually respond to the criticism of the gore and violence in AEW's shows so far, instead painting his company as revolutionary. People are really buying what he's saying.

AEW's October 2 episode will establish the women's championship. I'm curious which direction they take there.

Ivan Koloff is the subject of an upcoming wrestling musical. We're in surreal times!

Dustin Rhodes discussed wrestling, acting, and more.

WWF/AWA interviewer Ken Resnick was interviewed. Here are some highlights. WWE is definitely of the mindset that the company is the draw rather than any specific star(s).

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Only one man has officially wrestled as Liger.

2. Wow that sounds like a mess.

3. It depends on how they use him and how over he is. I'll hold off to see what they do with him.

4. Yeah, it's pretty much a lock it's Bryan.

5. They might not have trusted him with a live mic in a beer bash!!

More wrestling tomorrow.
