Paige doctor update, Summerslam hype, Interviews with Mercedes/D'Lo/Titus/Owens, FITE comments on WWE story, GLOW hits Neftlix, MLW honoring Texas promoter, WWE name pulled from Summerslam weekend, WWE music release, Lance Storm closing wrestling school, title match set for Raw, NXT UK name misses wXw show, and Questions on Vince's script changes, Jericho's partners, LAX's status, Bob Ryder, and Aro Lucha's status

Paige is having surgery for a hernia. Hopefully that improves her situation.

Edge and Christian discussed Summerslam memories on their latest podcast.

Becky Lynch, Kofi Kingston, Braun Strowman, and Christian were at an Ontario MLB game to promote Summerslam.

Mercedes Martinez discussed WWE and more. Here are highlights. I was definitely impressed with her WWE work, and hear great things about her abilities elsewhere. And she's right about WWE not having much (any?) room for more female recruits right now. I don't see them doing a "spring cleaning" or anything to cut some of the lower-level/staler names.

FITE commented on the story of WWE's interest in them. Time will tell on this one.

GLOW's third season is now available on Netflix.

Braun Strowman did a signing at a Toys R Us in Ontario to promote Summerslam.

MLW will honor Gary Hart at their September 7 Texas debut. Interesting move. I'm thinking that's a way to boost attendance in the new market.

Jimmy Uso will not appear for WWE this weekend due to his recent DUI blocking him from entering Canada. I really hope that's a wake up call and he gets help.

D'Lo Brown discussed the Nation of Domination and more. Here are highlights. WWE would be SCORCHED for doing a NOD gimmick today.

WWE has released a new theme song compilation featuring rare themes, including the famous cage lowering music!

Titus O'Neil promoted his book. There are some important messages there.

Kevin Owens promoted Summerslam with Sports Illustrated:
- Owens as a face is definitely a breath of fresh air. I wish he could have stayed as the character he teased before Fastlane.

- Triple H, Vince, and Shane have definitely been giving as far as having talents go at them.

Lance Storm is closing his training school at the end of the year. I'm curious what this means for his future, as it sounds like he's moving onto something else in the business.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross will defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship against the Kabuki Warriors on Raw. That could be really fun.

Toni Storm didn't compete at wXw's Ontario show as initially advertised. It's unknown why she wasn't on the show. WALTER still competed in the main event as planned.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. About the best explanation I have is that he constantly changes his mind about what he thinks is best. Vince is a busybody and a workaholic, so he could feel that he needs to be continually involved with "improving" the script for as long as possible.

2. That wouldn't really be much of a mystery! LAX is the popular choice (since obviously AEW can't advertise them while they're under Impact contract), but it's also possible there's another surprise team coming in.

3. Apparently the original idea was for the Santana "injury" to be the end of LAX's run there. I'd think the Mexico tapings happening before their contracts end persuaded Impact to use them again before they potentially leave.

Nothing to add to 4. He's been in that role for quite a while.

5. Yeah, treading water sounds about right, since nothing's announced as being on the horizon. There doesn't seem to be a huge demand for lucha in the U.S. right now given how things are going with this, Lucha Underground, and AAA's U.S. shows.

More wrestling tomorrow.
