Goldust update, TNA signs Big Brother star to developmental deal, WWE '12 pre-order bonus, Questions on "gimmicked" weapons, another Punk appearance, Vince/HHH, and Lita, Miz on Lopez, Morrison/Melina interview, WWE seeks interns, Eve Q&A, Cabana and Sheamus interviews, Punk to speak on Raw, Miz/Maryse on SI.com, and new Hardcore Justice matches

Goldust noted on his Twitter a few days back that he's "taking a break" as far as being an active competitor goes. He's currently being used as an agent/producer, assisting in the development of the Divas. Good to see veterans passing on their knowledge to help the newer generation improve.

TNA has signed "Mr. Pec-tacular" of Big Brother fame to a developmental deal, and hope to have him on TV by the end of the year. He's been training at the Team 3D Academy for a while and has had at least one dark match for TNA, so this isn't a spur-of-the-moment publicity stunt. I get the sneaking suspicion that we'll see him compete "before he's ready" due to the TV background, but they could surprise me.

Those who pre-order WWE '12 will be able to download The Rock to the game. Pretty cool. The game comes out around the same time as Survivor Series, so there's a nice little tie-in there. WWE's pretty good at tying merchandise and the like into the show.

After the break, I go into PWInsider.com's questions. There's nothing to add to #1, so I'll start with a look at WWE gimmicking ladders for MITB.
2. A lot of times they will be for a spot like that, and likely tables are done the same way most of the time (if not all the time). It would have hurt a good deal more if it wasn't set up like that (though I'm sure it hurt plenty even with it being fixed), and the bump wouldn't have looked as impressive if they used a regular ladder and it didn't bend.

3. They're saying no, so I guess not. I wonder how he was able to do the indy show recently. Maybe he hadn't officially signed a contract or something yet?

4. Vince is still legitimately the Chairman and CEO of the company and still does a lot of work in those regards. Triple H and Stephanie are both powerful executives in WWE, though, and will both be important when Vince isn't in charge, but it doesn't seem like the time is near just yet for Vince to pass the torch.

5. I know she had a band called the Luchagors at one point, but I don't know for sure if they're still active. Apparently she's a radio DJ in Atlanta now. Punk music of course.

Here's video of The Miz's appearance on George Lopez's show.

John Morrison and Melina were interviewed on The Score. That injury sounds pretty bad. I'm glad they didn't force him to compete before it had healed, as impatient as some of us are for him to be 100%.

WWE has put up a posting for those who wish to apply to be an intern for this fall.

Eve Torres was part of an interview promoting an upcoming Raw house show. Interesting to hear from someone we don't hear too much from.

Colt Cabana was part of a pretty entertaining profile piece recently, with some quotes by C.M. Punk. I've seen very little of him outside of the Scotty Goldman character, but even just based on that I think he's worth another look. He's a hard working "sports entertainer" in the Santino or Zack Ryder vein. There's got to be some way to make money with someone that creative and experienced.

Sheamus was also interviewed, promoting this week's Smackdown tapings. I'm very glad that the names he mentioned have helped him along, and hope that they (and people like them) (continue to) do so for other members of the roster.

C.M. Punk has been announced as getting mic time on Raw, which makes sense.

The Miz and Maryse were featured on Sports Illustrated's "Hot Clicks" today.

Brian Kendrick vs. Alex Shelley vs. Austin Aries for the X-Division title and a 6-man tag between Gunner/Steiner/Abyss and Styles/Kazarian/Daniels have been made for TNA Hardcore Justice.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
