Someone asked a question about Melina going to TNA. I haven't seen anything to suggest that she's thinking of leaving WWE, much less go there. So, I'm not sure where that rumor came from.

The Rock had more comments to John Cena as relates to their angle in regards to Cena's potential "firing" earlier in the week.

After Raw went off the air, Vince McMahon got into an altercation with John Cena, which eventually spread to involve a number of other wrestlers. Zack Ryder was on the babyface side of the angle once more.

RVD, Christopher Daniels, Eric Young, and Kazarian will all appear at Comic-Con.

Paul Heyman's book has been pushed back to an 11/22 release date.

PWInsider.com has some new questions up, which I'll get into after the break. First up, why hasn't TNA signed Petey Williams back?

1. I could see why they'd bring him back to the X-Division if he wasn't already signed elsewhere. If they're just looking for flashy moves, the Canadian Destroyer certainly qualifies. I personally didn't see much in him outside of his finisher. And the sooner we forget about him being a miniature Scott Steiner, the better.

2. I haven't seen any indication that that one's going down, either. Snitsky's 41 now, and he might be branching out into acting. He hasn't done too much match-wise since leaving WWE, so I'd be surprised if he was still on their radar.

3. It's a mix of both! As for Rock having the upper hand, he presumably gets a lot more leeway than the face of a very media-conscious company.

4. I'm not really good at ranking things as better or worse. There are hundreds of WWE PPVs to take into consideration, going back decades. That being said, December to Dismember was one of the bottom that I can think of in semi-recent memory. I don't know where I'd put No Mercy 2007. I'm a Triple H fan, so I didn't have a problem with him being that much of a centerpiece, especially when they had to work around Cena's injury on that show.

5. Serious Cena is almost always better than comedy Cena, so I'll go with his most recent work. I did really like his rapper gimmick back in the day, though.

The dark match before Monday's Raw was Chris Masters going over Curt Hawkins via Masterlock. I wouldn't have minded seeing that one on Superstars, by any stretch.

Matt Morgan's MRIs were to diagnose back spasms he's been having lately. There are no results as of yet.

A number of ROH performers might not be in the company by the time of their upcoming TV tapings. The Kings of Wrestling are still in discussions about going to WWE, and Colt Cabana's status is up in the air. The latter isn't expected to go to WWE despite the recent mentions of him. I'm curious as to what the three of them would do in one of the top 2 promotions.

John Morrison hopes to be cleared to return to the ring soon.

Jeff Hardy's next court date is September 8, because for an unknown reason it seems to have been continued once more.

Chavo Guerrero further went into his frustrations with WWE in a recent interview. As for Cena's ring work, and the whole "5 moves of doom" thing, I agree that he might should change things up here and there, but a good portion of the crowd eats up that comeback. They see one of those moves and anticipate the next one. It's certainly rather predictable, but if a good part of the "WWE Universe" buys into it and comes back to see it next time, I can't fault him for doing what's working.

As for his release, I can definitely see his viewpoint. Yes, he's 40 and his career could very well be winding down, so he needed to be used wisely, but too often he was a talented guy they (and a lot of fans, myself included) took for granted. As for him putting over younger talents, I think it was good for them to be able to work with someone that experienced who could help them improve. There are only so many established guys from years gone by left, and if the company has them continuing to go over, it doesn't mean as much for the up-and-coming guys. At some point Chavo would have retired, and if he was consistently put over the talents who were still there, it makes them look somewhat second-rate.

That being said, Chavo DEFINITELY gave it his all no matter what role he was given. Even when he was in the seemingly never-ending feud with Hornswoggle on Raw, he went out there and made the best out of what he was told to do. He always gave that little extra in his gimmick and the general way he carried himself, and I applaud him for that. Those little nuances seem to be missing in a number of talents these days.

Randy Orton filmed a congratulatory message to THQ for reaching a million fans on Facebook.

A baseball announcer quit his job on air, and made a number of references to C.M. Punk's recent buzzworthy promo. I was hoping for a more direct parallel, but that certainly wasn't bad.

To clear up some confusion stemming from the big angle on Raw, Vince McMahon is still the Chairman and CEO of WWE, despite his on-screen "relieving of duties". However, the situation does mirror real life in the sense that Triple H is studying under him and being groomed as his future successor in a number of areas behind-the-scenes.

Drew McIntyre and John Morrison will join Sheamus, Vladimir Kozlov, Santino Marella, and the Usos in making an appearance at an FCW house show on 7/22.

C.M. Punk took the WWE Championship to another Cubs game recently. He could also appear at MMA promotion Titan Fighting's card on 7/29, which will air on HDNet.

Jay Lethal will be competing on ROH's first new TV taping, but isn't believed to be under contract to the company.

Mr. Anderson discussed his future plans and more in a Q&A in Delaware. I don't know how many fans of the former Mr. Kennedy made it over to TNA. They're not as on-the-radar as WWE. He's right about the long loops they do. It's certainly not for everyone. I don't see how more people don't make the connection to a movie or other TV show. I love the "Terminator 2" metaphor as well. As for him wrestling in 5 years, it's a bit of a surprise that he's already thinking that he might not be doing it then. There aren't too many active 40-year-olds (or older) in the main 2 promotions, though, so he could very well be right.

Raw did a 3.2 rating on Monday night. Following a massive angle and PPV, and featuring a tournament for the top title in the business, they had to have hoped for a higher number.

That's all for Tuesday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
