Query on Jackson Andrews in TNA, Questions on "Wrestling Mattering" in TNA, ROH being on national TV, the whereabouts of Brodus Clay, and more on Punk, TNA execs talk up Destination X, Finlay comments on WWE release, TNA stars work AAA, TNA announces 3 Impact Wrestling tapings outside of Orlando, Austin talks about Tyson, TNA releases Gen Me, Smackdown rating, and Raw's dark match

First up, someone wants to know about former WWE/FCW wrestler Jackson Andrews possibly going to TNA. I haven't heard anything to suggest that he will be. In fact, I don't remember seeing anything on him in quite some time. They almost certainly won't bring him in based on name value- he was hardly featured on TV. He didn't even have a match!

Here's my look at PWInsider.com's questions of the day:
1. It certainly seems like there's been at least a partial shift in philosophy towards more in-ring action, and that in-ring action mattering more with the recent focus on the X-Division and the Bound For Glory Series. And they're using new talents recently as well. I don't know what sparked the change in plans, but it's pleasantly surprised a good deal of people.

2. What they said. It takes a good deal of time and money for a company to grow enough to be able to transition to national TV.

3. I believe that he's down in FCW getting more training. I was kind of under the impression that they used his injury in Extreme Rules to write him off for the time being. Actually, after double checking online, maybe he's just out because he's filming a movie? Or maybe it's a combination of the two, where he's filming and then they'll put him back in FCW for a while before bringing him back when it airs/hits shelves/whatever. If he can up his game in the ring, he might have a decent-sized or longer run in WWE.

After the break, I look at more answers and the rest of the day's news, starting with yet another C.M. Punk question.

4 and 5 are somewhat connected, so I'll answer both together: The scenario outlined in 5 would entail WWE giving their top title to someone who (as of now) won't be part of the company by the next night, then taking their top title while he appears at unaffiliated companies that WWE would either have to acknowledge on TV to the vast part of the audience who's never heard of any of them (instead of pushing their own stories and characters) or ignore so only part of the audience knows what's going on with the actual championship. And he's not under contract, so he could sign somewhere as WWE Champion, leaving egg all over WWE's face. Now, their other options include having one of their top stars retain the title or giving it to someone else via MITB briefcase, both of which are much easier to do and don't entail all of those hassles. The chances aren't good in other words. It'd be like CBS letting Charlie Sheen use his 2 1/2 Men character on other shows in small markets when they can just replace him with Ashton Kutcher. Actually, given their respective statuses on the show, it might be more like Jon Cryer or the housemaid leaving. Not the top draw, but a popular character.

A number of TNA's bigwigs commented on Destination X via Twitter.

Former WWE producer/agent Finlay talked about his release from the company in the recent Fighting Spirit Magazine. At least he understands the decision and isn't bitter about it. It's a shame that they couldn't have come up with a way for him to remain with the company. If they had someone as dedicated as him working with the Divas, and the company getting behind them, I get a feeling that more people overall would get into the product.

Mickie James and Abyss worked for AAA over the weekend in Mexico. The company has a working agreement with TNA. Hopefully that increases business there for the company.

TNA has officially announced three Impact Wrestling tapings in non-Floridian markets over the next 3 months. That's fantastic news. I hope they get good crowds and are able to draw with good shows. More successful companies in wrestling is good for everyone. I don't get why they'd have a taping opposite an episode of the show airing on TV, but presumably that night was the best available?

Here's another brief snippet of an old interview by WWE Books' Kevin Sullivan, featuring comments by Stone Cold Steve Austin on working with Mike Tyson in one of the most memorable moments in all of wrestling.

Generation Me, formerly known as the Young Bucks, asked for and received their releases from TNA. They finished up with the company at Destination X. The former Max Buck commented on the decision on Twitter. I'm not going to lie; I wasn't fans of theirs, and as crowded as TNA's roster is, I can see why they weren't used much. I'd be surprised if WWE considered bringing them on based on their styles.

Smackdown rebounded to a 1.73 rating on Friday night. Good to hear.

The dark match before Raw had Vladimir Kozlov defeating JTG. Not much to say there.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
