Query on JBL, Questions on Punk's status, Sarita's mask, Sabu, Dreamer, and TNA book deals, Billy Gunn apologizes for anti-HHH comments, Christian and Sheamus appearances, Jerry Jarrett interview, upcoming WWE lineup changes, and two new BFG Series matches for Hardcore Justice

First, someone wants to know if JBL's coming back to WWE this year. I wouldn't bet on it, outside of a special appearance like he had before WrestleMania. If he wanted to return to WWE for something, they'd almost certainly allow him to.

As for PWInsider.com's questions of the day:
1. Punk's under contract again now, but the details aren't really known beyond that. You're not the only one wondering what's going on in the situation.

2. I like the new look in its own weird way and she stands out with it, so I wouldn't mind if she kept it for a while. Not that I don't want her to stay hurt or anything, though! Mexican America should cut a promo about how savage Tara and Tessmacher were, winning the titles that way, etc.. They could even blame America's health care system for her needing to pay for the mask or something.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with why Sabu isn't in WWE or TNA.
3. TNA didn't have anything for him creatively once they were done with the EV2.0 angle. I don't know what else they'd really be able to do with him, bringing in yet another guy mostly known for his past work (not that that's stopped them before). As for WWE, quite a bit works against him. Even he wasn't 46, his previous run in the company didn't work out so well. There was a drug-related arrest with RVD, and I seem to remember he had some attitude issues there as well. I'd be pretty surprised if he ever returned there. So, it looks like the indies (and old DVDs) are your best bet.

4. Apparently it's ECW alumni question day. I'm not so sure he'd even want to go back to working backstage. He left because he wanted to wrestle, but they "retired" him.

5. Presumably, not enough people know about TNA for a major book company to want to work with them.

In other news, the former Billy Gunn, who also wrestled in TNA as Kip James talked about a pretty well-known interview he did years back where he (along with Road Dogg/BG James) ripped into Triple H, owning up and apologizing for those remarks. He also discussed wanting to give back to the business with all of his knowledge, etc..  I think he could potentially be a good trainer or agent in WWE. I guess he'd have to have a good man-to-man conversation with Triple H to put that all behind them for it to happen, though.

Christian appeared at a Cricket store in Louisville, KY on 7/30 and Sheamus will appear at one in Lexington on 8/1.

Legendary promoter Jerry Jarrett discussed his recent book among other things in an interview. I agree that the best characters are either exaggerated versions of the people portraying them or based on someone/something that the performer knows really well. Also, those Andy Kaufman promos were awesome. I think heels need to antagonize fans more than they do.

The following notes are potential spoilers, so highlight them to read. They involve talents scheduled for upcoming TV tapings. In addition to these notes, C.M. Punk has been added to live events and PPVs.
Triple H is advertised for both Raw and Smackdown tapings leading to Summerslam. Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio are being advertised for the Smackdown taping before Summerslam (8/9) and the one after it (8/16).

Finally, these two matches have been added to TNA Hardcore Justice. Both are part of the ongoing Bound For Glory Series:
Rob Van Dam vs. Crimson
D'Angelo Dinero vs. Devon
Those both have potential to be impressive. That first one will be a big deal for Crimson.

That's all for Saturday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
