Queries on dark matches, Rosita, and the Hardys in talks with WWE, NXT alumna works Raw house show, Averno update, Questions on John Laurinaitis, last week's WWE title tournament, Cena going after Rock, and Joe's losing streak, Punk advertised for 7/25 Raw, Aussie ratings, Chavo Classic interview, Rock to appear at upcoming PPV, survey on new WWE.com features, Cee Lo Green at Summerslam, Raw dark match, WWE media appearances, Generation Me responds to RVD, and more Comic-Con interviews

Some more queries sent to the blog today:
1. I haven't seen anything about David Hart Smith working dark matches lately. It's possible that he is and it just hasn't been reported anywhere I've seen.

2. This is the second time that this has come up, but no, TNA's Rosita isn't in WWE. I think maybe some people have her confused with AJ Lee? I can kind of see it. If that isn't where the confusion comes from, I also haven't seen anything about her going to WWE.

3. And on that note, I haven't seen anything about the Hardy Boys being in talks with WWE either, which is another rumor apparently making the rounds. They're both still under contract to TNA. If there's any news on a comeback for either or both, or them leaving the company, I'll be sure to report it.

On to more verifiable news: NXT Season 3 alumna Naomi worked Sunday's Raw house show as the special guest host. It's unknown what this means for her potential future on the main roster. I'd certainly like to see her get a chance there.

For those wondering about recent WWE signee Averno, he's still working in Mexico as the NWA Historic Middleweight Champion. It's unknown what WWE's plans for him are.

After the break, I jump into PWInsider.com's questions, starting with the possibility of John Laurinaitis as an on-screen character.
1. It remains to be seen where they're going with Vince losing his spot to HHH. It does make you wonder if he "kept Laurinaitis on board" after becoming COO. But given that he wasn't on Raw tonight, I don't know if we'll see him in the future.

2. Wait, the guy who was WWE Champion for 6 months is less credible than two wrestlers who've never held it? How's that work? Miz has only been a top guy for around a year now, and Rey hasn't been in tons of main events over the years like Cena, so I didn't see "same old" there at all. Kofi and Truth would have been fresher faces, but I don't think Kofi's viable as a top guy yet, and Miz has been a main eventer for longer than Truth, so the argument could have been made that he'd be more believable in the role. Plus, he wasn't too far from being stuck back in midcard purgatory after the losses from Riley, so the wins kept him somewhat strong. The "what the f is happening" philosophy can backfire badly, as during the dying days of WCW. It was plenty unpredictable and full of insider references and "quick fixes" in the forms of surprises and title changes to turn business around, but they eventually ran out of ways to surprise the audience and give them new things and eventually that high-speed train went right off the tracks.

3. There were/are a lot of fans (and I was one of them for a while) that took Rock going to Hollywood as a betrayal of the place that made him a big name in the first place. They/we wanted Rock to stay in WWE for as long as he could continue entertaining us. There was a lot of "When's Rock coming back?", "You think Rock will come back for one more match?" and abandonment feelings for (part of) the fanbase for a while. Cena apparently was/is part of that group. No one wanted him to wrestle until he was 60 or in a wheelchair or anything like that, but we knew he could still be amazing and entertaining if he kept wrestling. If Rock's happier in Hollywood (and he certainly makes a good deal of money there), then more power to him. Good for him for making his own choices in life. He didn't, and doesn't "owe" us to keep wrestling. No one does. He didn't and doesn't owe us any kind of special appearances or comebacks or anything, but I'm certainly glad that he's done/doing them. So, that's what it stemmed from.

4. You know, this COULD all be leading to something where he "snaps" back into the Samoa Joe fans want to see, refocuses and is able to turn things around. At least I hope so.

5's a question just for them, so I'll move on:
C.M. Punk was actually advertised for tonight's Raw at the venue that hosted it. Whoops. It's possible that they just never changed it after he temporarily left.

Raw was once more the only wrestling show to appear in Australia's top 100 on Pay TV, at #73 with 23,000 viewers.

Chavo Guerrero, Sr. gave a pretty good interview to Not in Hall of Fame. Very smart guy. I wish more people learned the "Guerrero way".

The Rock said on Twitter that he'll be at Survivor Series to confront John Cena. Cena responded.

WWE.com has a survey seeking response to proposed future features on WWE.com. I like the ideas of footage from live events, stuff with Superstars backstage, on the road, and at home, the Twitter ticker, video chats, the WWE Radio and maybe match replays with Superstar commentary. I don't care wither way about alternate camera angles, and fan reviews, while a potential way to get traffic away from YouTube, could also end up being a tidal wave of negative rants, and I don't think WWE would want that on their own website

As was mentioned on Raw, Cee Lo Green will be performing "Bright Lights Bigger City" at Summerslam. WWE wants the show to be similar to WrestleMania, so a musical performance adds to that.

FCW Champion Bo Rotundo beat Primo in the dark match before Raw. Bo is the 21-year-old brother of Husky Harris.

Jerry Lawler was on the radio broadcast for a AAA baseball team affiliated with the Atlanta Braves along with former WCW commentator Tony Schiavone.

The Miz will be on George Lopez' show on Wednesday.

College Humor has a look at the C.M. Punk angle.

The former Max and Jeremy Buck disputed RVD's recent allegations against them. While RVD having his own locker room is certainly a concern in its own right, and he's definitely known for his ego, I can't 100% turn on him here, even if they were actually cordial and respective to him. The Young Bucks, even with a surprising 8 years of experience, could have learned TONS from the veterans in TNA. At first glance, I wouldn't blame someone a bit for assuming they were inexperienced and barely out of high school.

The Miz will be a part of this Thursday's Sirius/XM Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft on 7/28 in New York. Here's where to sign up to attend.

Kelly Kelly, Kane, and Hulk Hogan all have (new) interviews up from Comic-Con.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
