More on Punk at Comic-Con, Questions on a future Punk angle, Bryan attacking Cole, Taker at WM27, the World Title, and ending Taker's streak, Hogan interviews, more Punk news including an appearance at an indy event in Chicago, injured wrestler promoted for return, Orton update, Riley interview, Impact Wrestling taping update, interviews with RVD, Bret Hart, and Rey Mysterio, Kane "injured" by Mark Henry, WWE going after world record, and Melina works Smackdown house show

WWE now has an article (including video) of C.M. Punk crashing Comic-Con.

On to Sunday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I definitely can see the "Punk coming back to challenge the champion" part. Triple H being in someone's corner instead of in the match would be surprising, though, I think. He could very well overshadow the participants.

2. If you meant Smackdown, I don't really see a reason for his character to at the moment. He's trying to prove how good he is moreso than get past Cole. Now, if Cole were to cost him his briefcase or something, another attack could very well be coming his way. Not that that's the direction I want that angle to go!

3. The idea was that the match took so much out of him that he couldn't leave on his own power. He's still "alive" (or as alive as the character can be I guess), because Triple H challenged him to a rematch soon thereafter on Raw.

After the break, I look at where the World Title stands in credibility right now, and all of the rest of the day's questions and news.

4. It's still a pretty big deal on Smackdown. They just have a tendency to space big matches out.

5. I'm honestly not sure that they can pull off 2 more Taker-Kane matches at Mania. They've covered just about all the ground they can cover between those two. I still don't think anyone should end the streak, even though it would eliminate all of the "who should end the streak" questions.

Hulk Hogan had some interviews recently discussing a role he has in Saints Row The Third. Wrestling comes up as well, with the third video revealing where his current angle in TNA is likely headed.
Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 (Spoilers!)

C.M. Punk has been edited out of Nexus' Titantron, which makes sense. He made a cameo appearance in a music video by H2O.

Mason Ryan is being advertised for the 9/25 Raw house show, so that could be when he returns to action.

Randy Orton tweeted that he was uninjured after slipping on the announce table on Smackdown.

Alex Riley had a radio interview recently.

TNA will tape two episodes of Impact Wrestling when they go to Alabama. I suppose that makes sense financially. I wonder how/if they'll explain on TV that they're in the same place two weeks in a row that isn't the Impact Wrestling Zone.

RVD talked about how his career's going at present, including his recent match with Jerry Lynn. The talent in TNA should ABSOLUTELY be asking for advice from the veterans. They're working with some of the most successful people in the history of the business, and they're not taking advantage of that learning opportunity? That's pretty small-minded. TNA should be promoting an environment where getting feedback from the veterans becomes a somewhat common occurrence.

TNA getting better brand marketing and merchandise would be great as well. It's not an easy process, and they have to be able to make money off of it, but I hope they're working on that area.

The comment about wrestlers and companies tapping into social media is great as well. That's an opportunity to build a loyal fanbase that could very well follow you beyond the company you're currently in, and so forth. Not that every wrestler needs a website or should spend all day responding to Tweets, but it's nice to know that they appreciate their online fans and the like. The bigger your fanbase, the better your chance of staying employed.

Bret Hart and Rey Mysterio were interviewed on behalf of WWE at Comic-Con.

WWE.com is pushing that Kane will be out for at least 3 months following the attack by Mark Henry. It's good that they're giving him time off. He's earned it. WWE, especially on Smackdown, is short on top stars right now, though, so it's time to make the best use of the talents they have available. Maybe "the new chairman" Triple H can send some people to Smackdown to even the rosters up? Wrestlers could come to his office and complain that they're never featured on Raw, so he'll send him there. Between having them do hardly anything on Raw/Superstars and adding to a shrinking Smackdown roster, the choice should be obvious. Heck, he could even decree that the Raw GM and Theodore Long can negotiate over who stays on which show. People could jump ship if they're not happy, etc..

WWE is looking to break the Guinness World Record for most people wearing masks at a single event at WrestleMania XXVIII. Having Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara on the card would certainly go a long way towards helping that.

C.M. Punk made an appearance at indy promotion AAW with Colt Cabana. The show was not far from Chicago. He did not wrestle on the show, nor did he bring the WWE Championship.

Though I don't suppose it's that out of the ordinary on a show featuring Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz, what was advertised as a Smackdown house show also featured Melina. AJ was the guest host of a Raw house show not too long ago, so they're playing a little loose with brand alignments recently.

That's all for Saturday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
