Orton apologizes to Kelly, recap of Bloomberg's look at WWE, Questions on Jim Cornette's book, Sin Cara's lights, Miss Tessmacher, Punk's promo, and new WWE titles/an end to the brand split, Cabana talks Punk, Morgan to be on MTV series, HBK discusses new show, WWE talks to Corporal Kirchner, catching up with Zach Gowen, Christian promo, Savage cause of death revealed, and DLC for WWE All-Stars

Randy Orton took to Twitter to apologize for his comments about Kelly Kelly on a recent radio show, which were recapped yesterday. That whole interview was boneheaded.

A number of WWE executives were interviewed on a recent show on Bloomberg TV. Some thoughts on it: It looks like previous seasons of Tough Enough are being deliberately ignored similar to Undertaker and Triple H's previous WrestleMania match was during the build to this year's event. Using that "Skull King" character outside of the main product would be interesting. It's a pretty cool look. Triple H seems like a pretty smart guy based on his comments there. I was also a bit surprised with some of Vince's comments about being easy to work with and approachable. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would disagree. The TV Network could very well be a gamechanger for them. There's no indication that Vince is retiring any time soon, which shouldn't come as a shock. They were pretty dodgy on the Benoit question, which is unfortunate. I was hoping they'd talk up the Wellness Policy and concussion testing and the like.

Update: Here's video of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon (-Levesque)'s appearance on the show.

On to my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
1. I really hope whoever sent this one has since discovered Google. Seriously, I typed in "Jim Cornette book" and it took me right where I needed to go.

2. It's supposed to add to his mystique I suppose. I agree that they should back off of it at some point. It looks a bit ridiculous.

After the break, I look at criticisms of a certain nickname for Miss Tessmacher, and the rest of the day's questions and news.
3. One at a time here: TNA really focuses on that area of hers, so it's a play off of that. I certainly don't use it, but there are people who perhaps aren't as focused on her wrestling abilities who do so. They really flaunt their women's sexuality there, so it shouldn't be a big surprise that some fans' minds go in that direction. I don't have a wife or daughter or sister or anything like that, so I can't comment from that perspective. I wonder what Tessmacher thinks of the name? As far as her being equal to Kelly in every way, I disagree. They have different hair colors for one...

4. Not much to add to their answer, but the idea of Triple H feuding with Punk is awesome. I don't see it happening the way the question pitched it though. For one, there doesn't seem to be much of a chance of Vince "handing over control", even in storyline. He, Triple H, and Stephanie are all pretty busy behind the scenes at the moment, so I don't see them becoming regular parts of the show. It seems more like we'll have Cena representing the WWE way of life.

5. Short answer: Nope. Long answer: The idea of a TV title has been around for quite some time (back at least to WCW and ECW times), and they haven't shown any signs of picking it up. They like their titles as they are now. I also don't think they'll combine Raw and Smackdown anytime soon. It's a little bit like having a second company: if one creative team can't think of a use for someone (or a performer needs a fresh start), they can be put on the other show. It also gives them much more time to feature everyone when they can't take the easy way out of just featuring the established stars every week. You have less a chance of falling through the cracks when there's a lesser number of wrestlers that can be utilized on a show. The "Divas" name seems like it's here to stay in place of Women's, and they don't like the latter two styles enough to give them their own divisions (based on how few hardcore and cruiserweight-style matches they have there).

Colt Cabana gave some detail as to why C.M. Punk is leaving WWE. They've really blown it with this guy. This should be a lesson in how not to treat a dedicated, hard working talent.

Matt Morgan will be appearing on an episode of MTV's "Made", where he will work with a policeman who wants to become a TNA wrestler. Certainly an interesting premise.

Shawn Michaels discussed why he's doing his new hunting/outdoors show on Facebook.

WWE.com caught up with Corporal Kirchner in the latest "Where Are They Now?" feature. Those are always insightful. I'm familiar with the name, but not much beyond that. Mick Foley also chimed in about the more sadistic aspects of Kirchner's career.

Former WWE and TNA wrestler Zach Gowen opened up about his fall from grace and past drug problems in a recent interview. Glad to hear he turned things around.

Christian was part of a promo for a Smackdown event.

Randy Savage suffered from cardiovascular disease, which led to a "cardiac event" which caused his death. He tested positive for alcohol and hyrdocodone in his system, but neither contributed to his demise.

Finally, THQ has announced new downloadable content for WWE All-Stars. Sounds good.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
