Interviews with Rollins/Tanaka, Impact Wrestling preview, Smackdown audience, Raw note and Questions on Brock vs. Taker (again), Bryan's booking, the Network, wrestlers' court and the Hall of Fame

Seth Rollins talked about WWE being PG, Taker's streak and more. I think banning blood and shots to the head and such was more about wrestlers' health than about being family-friendly. I think it's really time to let the complaints about WWE being PG go. There can still be really good stuff under the PG banner (as we're seeing now). I wonder how many people who want to see the Attitude Era/TV-14 return even watched it during that time, and how many of those who did see it just have nostalgia goggles. The Attitude Era was great and all, but it's time for something new and different.

Set for Thursday's Impact Wrestling:
- X-Division Championship: Sanada vs. Tigre Uno vs. DJ Z
- James Storm vs. Mr. Anderson
- Willow vs. Magnus and Bram

Some of that sounds good. I couldn't care much less about the X-Division in 2014. Sanada and Tigre Uno barely have any characterization. They're great athletes, but there's not a lot to sink my teeth into beyond that.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Smackdown drew 2.28 million viewers on Friday. Not very high for the second straight week.

Pat Tanaka talked about his wrestling career. I know JR advocated wrestlers being taught about managing their financing. I think that's a sound idea for any industry where people can get rich quickly.

As might be expected with Bryan's injury, Raw underwent a lot of rewrites. There were some odd segments, for sure.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I wouldn't anticipate him saying anything that breaks kayfabe while he's still employed by WWE. His directions were to call the match as he saw it. Brock cleanly pinned Taker for 3, so he called that. That's really about all there is to it. If Taker was supposed to win, he and/or Brock would have done something to make sure that 3 count didn't happen. They're pros and know what to do.

2. The segments were silly, but I think I know what they were going for. Bryan was protecting his wife from someone who was a serious threat to both his and Brie's physical well-being. That's noble of him. He had already been seriously injured by the seemingly indestructible Kane, and wanted to get out of harm's way. It was him selling how dangerous Kane is.

3. It's sometimes a song-by-song, artist-by-artist basis. There's the question of how much WWE's willing to pay to get those rights and how much the artist will take for them.

4. Absolutely! The punishments aren't always hazing, but since these are unofficial courts, the punishments can definitely be more off-the-wall. It's a way to police things without management getting involved.

5. WWE only puts so many people in every year. They can't get everyone in at once! Eventually they'll probably put at least some of those names in. I wonder about Doink, given how the most famous one passed, but I think they could put in the character.

More wrestling tomorrow.
