Main Event Reax - 5/13/14, another TNA original leaves, Interviews with Lawler/Foley, Sabin note, TNA backstage name leaves, former TNA Champion "suspended", Ziggler steps up, ex-WCW name at WWEPC, WWE star hurt working out, NXT cameo on Raw, Raw audience and Questions on WWE votes, Sheamus as U.S. Champ, Ambrose in Evolution, limiting Emma and the hatred for Cena

Main Event:
That was a pretty cool opening segment! The harping on Brock's win at Mania is getting old, but other than that, I liked how they set the stage for Sheamus vs. Cesaro. I continue to want to see more focus on Cesaro. He's kind of getting a push, but also kind of being lost in the shuffle.

I'm not sure I'm feeling Sandow's current gimmick. He's REALLY directionless right now. Obviously WWE Creative has a lot of people to write for, but there are some talented people who are just kind of "there" and struggling to make a mark.

Not a bad match between Ziggler and Sandow, but neither man looks to really be moving onto anything important right now.

HOLY &#@#. Alicia just made me care more about her match than 10,000 Total Divas segments.

Ehh, the match itself wasn't that good. It didn't really do Emma any favors to win with a rollup, and Alicia losing two straight matches out of nowhere doesn't really do anything for her. Both Divas are good, but this didn't work out all that well.

I'm not really sure what Alicia's new gimmick is, but it's bizarrely entertaining.

I'm ready for Sheamus vs. Cesaro. Good promo to continue setting it up. Hopefully Sheamus elevates the U.S. Title with his reign.

That match was REALLY good. Cesaro and Sheamus bring out the best in each other at times. Two veterans at the top of their games here.

Pretty cool post-match. I hope there's a rematch between these two, because they tore it up tonight.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Hernandez's TNA contract is the latest to expire without renewal. This couldn't have been any kind of surprise, as he hadn't wrestled for the company in six months. Once his partner Chavo was released, that was pretty much the writing on the wall. I was never a big fan of Hernandez, but I think he did pretty well with the right partners. They definitely gave him a number of shots to do something as both a singles star and tag team competitor, but obviously he never made it to the top of the company. I wonder if AAA or GFW will find some use for him now? He's got more than a decade of experience.

Jerry Lawler talked about WWE getting a Memphis tape library and more. It's definitely important to remember Memphis' legacy on the business and Lawler's pre-WWE history. This is definitely an insightful piece on a history forgotten (or never known) by many.

Chris Sabin was offered a new deal with TNA before his departure, but he turned it down. After the miserable way they booked his World Title reign, I can't say I blame him.

Katie Ryjavec, a TNA employee since 2011 who did live event marketing and media buys, has given notice and will soon leave the company. TNA will have about eight employees left by the end of 2014. It won't be easy for them to reclaim the lost ground of the past few years. It's doable, but the odds seem against them.

Jeff Jarrett sat down with Mick Foley to promote GFW. There are definitely some talented performers out there who aren't with WWE or TNA for whatever reason. The video was very slickly produced. Good work, Double J.

Bobby Roode has been "suspended" by MVP to continue their feud. I think it's a good time to turn Roode face if they're going through with MVP as a heel.

Dolph Ziggler wants WWE to give him the ball with Daniel Bryan injured. I think he'd need some rebuilding to be taken seriously as a top name, sadly. Very hardworking guy, though.

Former WCW star Alex Wright visited the WWE Performance Center. There's a name I didn't expect to read today. I'm glad he's been successful in post-WCW life.

Yoshi Tatsu suffered a deep cut when training. He's still a part of WWE, believe it or not. He was a guest ring announcer at a recent NXT live event. I wonder what things look like for him if Prince Devitt and KENTA come aboard, given their track records in Japan.

NXT's Becky Lynch was one of the Rosebuds on Raw. I imagine we'll see a number of cameos accompanying Rose to the ring in the weeks and months to come.

Raw's audience Monday was 4.01 million viewers. Bryan's injury combined with the NBA playoffs made a bad combination for Raw.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Wrestlers have to be prepared for a lot of things and always be ready to improvise. Thankfully for them, they don't have to deal with the unexpected TOO much.

2. I'm under the impression it's an idea to give some new life to both Sheamus and the U.S. Title. So far, WWE seems to be committed to giving the new champ screen time, so it looks like they're committed to at least making something of his reign.

3. I see that doing more to take momentum away from Ambrose than building him up, because it would be such an out-of-nowhere swerve.

4. Right now, Emma has a pretty consistent role and gets screen time on the major shows as someone more or less being pushed. That's something a lot of more serious wrestlers, both male and female, can't say right now. I don't see how anyone's really that surprised they took someone with a more lighthearted character in NXT and used her in a lighthearted way on the main roster. If they took someone like Paige and put her in this kind of role, I'd see the concern. But Emma was dancing and blowing bubbles before being called up. I'd like to see more of what she brings to the table in the ring as well, and hope that comes in time, but I don't really have any complaints with her role right now.

5. I think people are generally complaining about John Cena the product and character more than John Cena the actual person. If he was booked to put people through tables onto thumbtacks and flip people off or whatever, he'd do that. While his (sometimes partially adlibbed) promos can be pretty cringeworthy at times, I do think he gets too much flak for his ring work.

More wrestling tomorrow.
