Main Event Reax - 5/20/14, Interviews with Paige/Big E, another TNA exec leaves, more Rosebud cameos, The Authority not best for business?, Raw audience and Questions on swerves, DDP in the Hall, Sheamus as U.S. Champ and Tazz

Main Event:
That was a really good opening segment to get Cesaro over. I do continue to think getting Cesaro over is tied up in getting Heyman and Lesnar over, but when Heyman does get behind Cesaro, it helps the latter. Cesaro beating Henry tonight could be quite the victory.

I really wonder what they're thinking with Sandow. I hope he survives this "test" of silly costumes and stuff.

Sandow won! Maybe they'll get behind him now? Good match if you can ignore the silliness. R-Truth has really earned his stripes

I liked the video to set up Naomi vs. Aksana.

You'd think the match would be more intense given the injury Naomi got. I think they turned it up, but if this was a heated fight over a personal issue, would there be suplexes, tilt-a-whirl slams, etc.?

I wasn't really crazy about us not getting Cesaro vs. Henry, unless they're setting up another match. It felt kind of flat instead of building more heat. Heyman's promo work was good as always, though.

Everything else other than WWE's financial news from yesterday is after the break.

Paige talked to DigitalSpy. I hope there are more talented Divas where she and Emma came from. I've seen some potential in NXT, but I don't think anyone's ready quite yet. Bayley, Charlotte and Sasha Banks are all coming along.

Eric Young is hosting a special week on Animal Planet. The jury's still out on what effect his outside endeavors will have on TNA's business.

TNA's senior audio producer has resigned after around eight years with the company. He was a very well-liked, hardworking person. That's a real shame. I hope he finds good employment elsewhere and TNA survives his loss.

A number of graduates from Glasgow, Scoltand's Source Wrestling School were Rosebuds on Raw. I'd love to party with Adam Rose.

Big E talked ahead of WWE in the UK. That's a REALLY impressive deadlift.

Mick Foley questioned whether the on-air actions of The Authority have affected WWE's stock. I wouldn't think so, but it's something to consider.

Update: Foley's announcement was a Wyatt Family tribute. How many chair shots did he take again?

Jim Ross gave a long interview to Sam Roberts. That'd be a hell of a commentary team...

Raw's audience on Monday was 3.76 million for a taped show, their lowest number in six months. The WrestleMania hangover is definitely over. I hope things rebound from here. Most of what WWE's doing these days is pretty good.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think there's a place for swerves, but they need to make sense and have long-term planning behind them. I see no reason for someone to switch sides in the Shield/Evolution feud. The Shield beat Evolution at Extreme Rules. Why would someone go from the winning team to the losing team?

2. Absolutely! Especially for his post-wrestling work.

3. I believe so. If he's a fighting champion, it should raise the profile of the title.

4. WWE would definitely still change things after the crowd responses for Bryan. It was clear things weren't going like WWE hoped with Batista. As for it "starting" in Pittsburgh, I disagree. I think fan discontent has been going back a good deal further than that. C.M. Punk and Zack Ryder were bucking the system and getting support way before then. And Cena's been booed for years. The Rumble was definitely a big night in the "Yes!" movement, but the movement as a whole built off earlier fan discontent.

5. There's no telling what WWF was thinking. They must have felt he was "more marketable" or something in a different look. That and they can sell Tazz T-shirts more easily if he wears them.

More wrestling tomorrow.
