Legend cameo on live event, Interview with Mason Ryan, other live event notes, unedited Smackdown and Questions on turning Cena heel and fixing WWE

Pat Patterson appeared at a recent WWE live event in France. He was interrupted by Bad News Barrett, setting up Barrett defeating Big E to retain the Intercontinental Championship. It's generally pretty cool to get a legend appearing as a bonus for live events.

Mason Ryan talked about his time in WWE and where he goes from here. I'm usually a fan of people getting vignettes before they debut, but there's something to be said for someone debuting out of nowhere like Ryan did as well. I'm glad Punk gave advice to the other members of New Nexus. Mason had definitely improved after retooling his physique. I kind of wish we got to see him get a second crack at the main roster. I'd be a little surprised to see him in TNA, but I think he MIGHT do well there.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Sami Zayn worked a number of live events on the WWE European tour. It's safe to say WWE's behind him. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him on the main roster by the end of the year.

To conclude WWE's live event in Berlin, John Cena had a beer with Cesaro in the ring. Cena's put over Cesaro on live events in Europe before. That's pretty cool of him. I hope Cesaro breaks out as a top name.

Brad Maddox has taken abuse from Kane following Kane's matches on live events to get more heat on Kane.

An unedited version of Smackdown appeared online. In other words, it has Cole and JBL talking to Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn in their headsets and all that fun stuff. Pretty interesting!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.

2. If (key word) Cena really falls down the ranks for selling merch and for things like Make-A-Wish and others have more or less replaced him as top face, to the point where he'd make more money for the company as a heel, then they can turn him. He's far too valuable as the face of WWE at this point to turn him heel any time soon.

3. Honestly I think it's time for Vince to loosen his grip on the reins of WWE. I don't think he should entirely step down, but I think it would be beneficial for him to give more power to others. It's too much for one man at this stage.

4. I hear it's great!

5. Apparently opening restaurants is a popular post-wrestling pursuit?

More wrestling tomorrow.
