Del Rio on Smackdown, TNA titleholder injured, Interviews with Bryan/Patriot/Reigns/Sting, WWE press, Vince accepts challenge, Summerslam Kickoff match, Ryder not in new WWE game and Questions on Ahmed Johnson, intense angles, Rusev's push, Cyrus the Virus, and Punk-WWE

The Canadian broadcast of the most recent Smackdown showed last week's match of Alberto Del Rio vs. Roman Reigns in place of the actual main event, since the show was pre-empted the previous week. So Canadian fans got to see him one last time on WWE TV. Punk and Del Rio are gone while Big Show and Great Khali are still around. Great...

Update: The show is sent to the network in segments, so someone just played the wrong segment! That's pretty funny timing, though.

TNA Tag Team Champion Davey Richards broke a bone in his leg at a recent TNA live event. He's expected to be out at least six weeks, putting his title reign in jeopardy. Maybe they can push the finale of his feud to Bound For Glory? It's a tough situation. Both Team 3D and the Hardy Boys are short-term solutions as champions.

Update: Richards tweeted about the injury and the fans' response to it here, here and here.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Daniel Bryan talked about his recovery and the Brie/Stephanie angle. It sounds like there's a possibility of him being back at the end of the year. Glad to hear that.

WWE's recent collaboration with Special Olympics was covered. They do quite a lot of charity.

Former wrestler The Patriot talked about recovering from addiction. I'm glad he's recovered!

Roman Reigns talked about The Shield split and more. I'm currently fine with him winning the title from Brock at WM31. I also want him to improve his game, but I'm not a "hater" like so many seem to be.

WWE Network will have a special on the former Shield members preparing for Summerslam in the same vein as the Daniel Bryan WM30 work.

Vince McMahon answered his son-in-law's ice bucket challenge. He's a character, that's for sure.

RVD vs. Cesaro was added to the Summerslam pre-show at more or less the last minute. Should be a great match, though.

Zack Ryder isn't included in the initial roster for WWE 2K15. In 2K's defense, he's barely on TV these days. It's a shame WWE dropped the ball on his push because people were really behind him.

Sting talked about wrestling Undertaker, previous chances to go to WWE and more. Roberts is really knowledgeable. Sting in WWF post-WCW would have been pretty interesting. I imagine he would have taken a Pedigree like Steiner, Booker and Goldberg before him.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That's a name you rarely see indeed. I hope post-wrestling life is working well for him.

2. It's also WWE targeting a younger audience. There will be some hardcore, intense stuff, but ultimately it's a PG show and that's not changing anytime soon. I will say things are better in that department in some angles (Wyatt/Jericho, Brock/Cena).

3. I hope they do push Rusev as a beast. I think they're past that controversy until/unless something else major happens.

4. If Spike does cancel TNA, I hope the last few shows feature him as a cameo for The Network. They won't, but it'd be fitting with the recent ECW nostalgia.

5. Punk was the one who left! I think he could come back some day, but I strongly doubt it'd be as a full-time employee unless there are some MAJOR changes.

More wrestling tomorrow.
