Yeation reaction, new physical WWE Title, Interviews with RVD/Batista, TNA-NYC notes, TNA-Spike update, RVD back in the ring, WWE live event notes, guests set for Raw, former WWE/World Champion released and Questions on the WWE Network, top traffic getter, Dixie's injury, Mid-Atlantic Fanfest and Turner in the Hall

Jim Ross and Stone Cold commented on Mark Yeaton's WWE release. Yeaton threw a LOT of beers Stone Cold's way back in the day. It does feel like WWE's a totally different company with Ross and Yeaton gone.

The redesigned WWE Championship has been made. It will likely make its debut at Summerslam or the night after as WWE goes to the new logo. This will hopefully end the talk of splitting the unified title back into two championships.

Rob Van Dam was interviewed. He's one of the least-compelling promos I've heard from a multiple-time World Champion.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Taped at the most recent TNA taping in NYC:
- TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Lashley vs. Bobby Roode
- TNA Tag Team Championship Ladder Match: The Wolves vs. Team 3D vs. Hardy Boys

Those are pretty big matches. I think the fans will be happy with them.

TNA management held a meeting at the most recent Impact Wrestling taping, asserting TNA is still in negotiations with Spike to remain on the network past October. Time will tell where Impact ends up. They're not out of business or anything at this stage.

Top Spike employee Scott Fishman was backstage at the most recent Impact tapings. Interesting.

Update: Spike president Kevin Kay was also there. That's really big news either way. The fate of Impact's going to be determined soon.

The View's Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy, as well as rapper Wale, were at the Impact tapings visiting. That's pretty cool. Shepherd is friends with MVP.

New TNA signing Jessicka Havoc worked the Knockouts PPV a few months back, so her signing isn't a big surprise. It will be good to shake the division up.

Chris Melendez's TNA debut will air on September 11. That's pretty fitting, but I could see some seeing it as exploitative.

TNA has another set of tapings booked in NYC for September to lead into Bound For Glory. It would have been a lot of TV taped if there wasn't another set of tapings before then.

Batista talked about his most recent WWE run. I think a plan at one point was Bryan defending the WWE Title in a rematch against Batista and Orton at Extreme Rules, with Bryan tapping Batista out. It made sense creatively, but I can see where Batista wouldn't like it.

RVD competed in Australia, losing a U.S. Title match also involving Sheamus and Cesaro. I'd be surprised if he wins another title anytime soon with his schedule.

Ric Flair was the referee as Roman Reigns beat Kane in Australia. I'm glad they're using Flair as an added attraction at shows.

WWE is advertising Monday's Raw as a birthday bash for Hulk Hogan. They have some surprise guests in mind. There could be some fun cameos from the past.

TNA was impressed with attendance at the most recent NYC tapings. There's a buzz for the product right now despite the cancellation rumors. Can they survive after all?

Tommy Dreamer was back as a producer at the most recent TNA tapings. No shock there.

WWE released Alberto Del Rio after an altercation with an employee. That's pretty heavy. More on this in the days to come. Del Rio was an incredibly talented athlete and I think he could have been one of the top names in the company, but WWE got trigger-shy with him at times and he ended up not breaking out into a higher tier. All in all, it's a real shame he got cut. I don't know the odds of seeing him in a ring on U.S. TV again is, but he was one hell of a talent and he'll be missed for his work.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. YOU CAN FIND OUT RIGHT NOW ON THE RAMBLINGS ABOUT WRESTLING NETWORK! As disappointing as those numbers were, I'm not surprised WWE keeps pushing the Network hard. If there's a drop in subscriptions after the six-month mark, I can only imagine what lengths they'll go to (I wouldn't assume they'll turn Cena heel or stop him as a main eventer or anything, though).

2. Weirdly enough, here it was Rob Naylor leaving FCW. I didn't picture that one at all. It's a search engine thing.

3. Dixie's first bump ever came at age 49 from the top rope and she more or less missed the table. So, yeah; it hurt.

4. Never say never, but there are no plans for another fanfest at this time.

5. I'd love to see Turner and Bischoff in the Hall. I don't know if the former will happen anytime soon, though. I think Turner's pretty much out of the public spotlight these days. I don't know what kind of terms he's on with Vince and WWE at any rate.

More wrestling tomorrow.
