Interviews with Heyman/Titus/Albert/Barrett/DDP/Steiner, When TNA's Spike deal ends, TNA-NYC notes, Bro-mans and new TNA signing get press, Heyman DVD note, live event note, Kane appearance and Questions on Del Rio's future, live events, Cena at every show, Tony Mamaluke and Dixie's injury

Paul Heyman talked about Summerslam, his promos, not going to TNA and more. Interesting remarks about Taker. Naturally a lot of people want to see Taker vs. Sting, but it's not a guarantee with Taker's condition. I think TNA could have been rather successful with Heyman on-board. I don't know if he should have been running things, but he definitely could have done good things as head of creative with a lot of pull.

Titus O'Neil talked about Darren Young, Slater Gator and more. Pretty good read. Props to Slater making the most of the random pairing. It's working fairly well for the two of them so far. I wouldn't shoot down a PTP reunion if the timing and story were right. I'd rather see them get over separately than flounder as a team, but they definitely work together well.

TNA's current deal with Spike ends the final week of September. They've now taped through September 25 for that reason. It will be very interesting to see how the shows play out. If they do get dropped by Spike, what will they do for the remaining episodes before Bound For Glory?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

TNA could be taping some One Night Only PPVs at their next set of NYC tapings. I imagine the situation with Spike will determine that. They still have contracts to do PPVs, so those will continue.

The August 8 taping did incredibly well for TNA, attendance-wise. They sold out and added additional seating. That's great news!

Brian XL and The Zombie from WWE's ECW visited at the most recent TNA taping. They should have used The Zombie!

The Bro-mans were involved in a rather interesting confrontation with a TMZ photog. That got weird pretty quickly...

Here's another story on TNA signing Chris Melendez. They've gotten a lot of press from it.

WWE's new Paul Heyman DVD is already selling really well. I'm glad to hear it. It was time for him to get a project like that.

R-Truth has been beating Bo Dallas at live events in Australia, for what that's worth. Bo's push has stalled a bit with the televised loss.

Kane was seen at a Shooter Jennings concert recently. As amusing as it would be for him to appear in full costume, he has a life outside wrestling.

Jason Albert, formerly Tensai, A-Train, Albert, etc. said he now considers himself retired. That's not really a surprise. He hasn't been wrestling for a good while.

Bad News Barrett did a Q&A with IGN. I'm ready for him to be back on TV.

Here's a piece on DDP's yoga work. He's done a lot of good with it.

Scott Steiner talked about WWE legends' deals and more. Pretty fun interview. Those tattoos are something else.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Given the current state of TNA, AAA might be the better choice for him financially. AAA could get a big following in the years to come that eclipses what TNA has now. It's tough to say. He's got options, either way.

2. Most fans don't follow the other live events of the weekend anyway! But yes, it helps the talents involved get more familiar working with each other and such.

3. WWE definitely played loose with the facts there. Cena's there for most of the shows, though.

4. Good for him for getting a good job after wrestling.

5. I hope it was worth it!

More wrestling tomorrow.
