Justin Roberts defends wrestling, big wrestling names in ice bucket challenge, Interviews with Santino/Heyman/Bryan/Hogan, Del Rio update, TNA photos, WWE logo change at HQ, Impact audience, Dana Warrior responds to Hogan and Questions on WWE on NBC, TNA on the Network, other footage on the Network, the disappearing stable and Taker losing

Justin Roberts talked about what wrestling is to him. I think if Drew Carey can go into the Hall of Fame, they can do an induction for Connor. Or potentially for the Make-A-Wish kids in general.

C.M. Punk took part in the ice bucket challenge that's going around social media. That's a cool way to get the word out about the charity.

Update: Triple H did his part, too. By doing this instead of donating, you can use $9.99 on the WWE Network! But it's great people are indeed donating.

Santino Marella talked about where his career goes from here. Sounds like the Honk-A-Meter might still be a possibility for him!

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Here's another big Impact Wrestling photo gallery. Those are great pictures!

Paul Heyman talked about his new DVD, ECW and more. It was smart to time this release with Summerslam. His interviews are always worth checking out.

WWE has changed their flags and building to be in line with the new logo. That's pretty cool! As iconic as the scratch logo is, it belongs to an earlier time.

Update: Vince McMahon posted some photos of this change. WWE needs to have a character who tries to get fans to chant "Nine Ninety-Nine". I'd love to see Zack Ryder as the new spokesman for the Network in his pre-Last ReZort gimmick. I'm a fan of there being some goofy comedy stuff amid all the awesome action if you can't tell.

Update: Here's a story on the logo change. When do they put "$9.99" in the logo?

Alberto Del Rio (now working as El Patron in AAA) said on a recent wrestling talk show he can't compete in the U.S. for a year after his WWE termination. There's speculation he was found to be in breach of his contract due to his altercation. I think we might have seen the last of Del Rio in the U.S. unless the AAA show takes off. WWE is clearly not bringing him back and TNA might not be in any shape to go after him in a year.

Daniel Bryan talked about his injury and more. Point-by-point:

- NXT definitely has some prospects worth checking out. The names he mentioned in particular have potential. Sami Zayn is really something.

- Eric could either be The Ascension's Viktor or Enzo Amore. I'm thinking he meant Viktor since he was just talking about The Ascension. Enzo's very entertaining, but he's more in the Santino mold than the "indy sensation" mold.

- Bryan's story about "The Ryback" at Panera Bread has always been a favorite of mine (starts around 19:40 here).

Hulk Hogan had a Q&A, jack. Shots fired between Hogan and Austin. They both made really meaningful contributions to the business.

Impact Wrestling slipped to 1.13 million viewers, down more than 250,000 from the previous week. So much for that boost they had following Slammiversary. The move to Wednesdays is their last chance to keep the Spike deal.

TNA will be taping Impact Wrestling and One Night Only PPVs from September 16 through 19 in Bethlehem, PA. Will they tape past Bound For Glory or are they just doing a lot of ONO shows? Impact Wrestling airs in other countries, so they need to tape stuff even if there's not a Spike deal in place.

Dana Warrior posted in response to a recent Hulk Hogan interview. I'm going to stay out of that feud out of respect for what Warrior's family went through when he passed.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That seems likely. NBC and USA are two totally different channels. Just because USA is OK with it all doesn't mean NBC is. WWE's just glad to have the exposure on NBC.

2. I think the only way we see TNA on the WWE Network is if WWE buys them out and shows their archived footage.

3. I could see them airing WWE Studios stuff. They'd have to get the rights to show anything they don't own, so I don't anticipate them having movies by other studios. No way do we see amateur rasslin' on Vince's sports entertainment channel.

4. It's a shame we didn't get to see that stable. I think it's one of those things they expect us to pretend never happened, like Hirohito.

5. I believe HBK confirmed in an interview that was the planned finish. I'm sure there will be people who won't believe that for some time to come, but I'm more convinced of it being the planned finish than otherwise.

More wrestling tomorrow.
