NXT and Superstars Reax - 7/31/14

Read on for my take on last night's NXT and Superstars.
NXT:
I continue to want to see more from Breeze in the ring. This was a good squash, but it didn't seem like something worthy of the #1 Contender to the title.

That was a pretty good segment with Neville and Breeze. Naturally they'll have a different kind of feud than Neville vs. Kidd based on who the characters involved are.

Good stuff with Kidd and Natalya. I think this run is the most interesting I've ever seen from Kidd. It also looks like JoJo's finally found a role in NXT.

The Ascension have been champs for quite some time. It's like WWE's split on whether to call them up and when.

Good match between Charlotte and Becky. It's not hard to see Becky's a veteran.

Interesting stuff between Mojo and Bull. I'm curious to see how things work out with those two.

Another squash match for The Ascension. Nothing new to say, really.

Good post-match promo. I think it is time for new champions.

Good video to set up Parker vs. Woods. I don't have high hopes for the match, but they could both use some experience.

Blehhhh.... not a great match. That can happen when you throw teams together. The thought of Mojo and Bull as tag champs is pretty terrifying.

I liked the Charlotte/Bayley segment. That should be a good feud. Both of them are doing well.

The ending was a little flat, but overall I liked Rose vs. Kidd. Kidd's an incredibly talented athlete. The angle with Natalya is being told pretty well. When they do split, it'll be pretty big.

Nice post-match to keep things going.

Superstars:
Pretty good match between Gabriel and Del Rio. It's a shame Del Rio's stuck on Superstars, but he can really put on a show. Gabriel's a pretty good athlete, too.

Kind of a weird Slater Gator segment, but whatever. At least they've got some character development.

Good enough tag match to give everyone involved ring time. It's nice to see Ryder again, but I'm not surprised he lost.

More wrestling coming up.
