Query on HHH's Raw announcement, WWE breaks record, Interview with Kidd, Bryan flashback, team returning to TNA, legends in Memphis, and Questions on Bubba in the Rumble, Orton in the Rumble, past Rumbles, Axel in the Rumble, and Miss Elizabeth in the Rumb... I mean Hall of Fame

First up, a query:
1. I suspect HHH's announcement on Raw will be to set up something for Fast Lane where Roman has to defend his title shot, or something of the sort. I definitely anticipate The Authority throwing some roadblocks his way on the road to WM31.

WWE broke the attendance record for the Pan American Center this weekend. That's great!

Tyson Kidd promoted an upcoming WWE event. Pretty good read. Props to him for putting over NXT. Kidd's maximized his minutes lately with his new character, to where now he's more than just a great wrestler.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

A Daniel Bryan promo from Season 1 of NXT has popped back up in the wake of him losing the Royal Rumble. For the record, I wasn't a fan of Bryan at that point. Barrett was who I thought deserved to win. Bryan was definitely a great wrestler, but he still clearly had a way to go to be someone who could be successful in WWE beyond a midcard role of being a good wrestler who could have matches with a lot of people. It took him getting a unique look and a lot more character for him to become the success he is now.

Dixie Carter announced the Von Erichs returning to TNA at the next set of tapings. I wonder if TNA's thinking of signing them. It could be pretty beneficial for TNA to have another tag team around.

Jerry Lawler and Ric Flair were part of a Memphis Wrestling promotion for the NBA. That's pretty cool!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I wonder if this person actually watched Bubba before TNA. The fact he got to come back at all to the big stage, in one of a few surprise Rumble spots and the only one for the ECW faithful, is a pretty good sign. He had momentum in TNA, for sure, but the NFL isn't about to have a top arena football name come in and play in the Super Bowl right off the bat. What he did as Bully as seen by about 30% of WWE's audience shouldn't entitle him to be a top name in a much bigger pond.

2. He probably would have overshadowed Roman, and Reigns has enough of an uphill battle being the most viable name to headline WM31 as it is. Believe that. (To be fair, Reigns can work the main event style. He's just not nearly as seasoned as some of their other choices).

3. MSG was indeed pretty great. The years where we got HBK vs. Taker were some of my favorites, too. I actually liked some of the chaos of the Attitude Era/Ruthless Aggression Era stuff, as well.

4. I've seen some people bring up a rule of "if you're not in the ring by the time the countdown starts for the next competitor, you're eliminated by default". I don't remember that ever being mentioned, though. It's not like Axel actually came back into the ring or anything, so he pretty much forfeited. As for Rusev, he did enter the ring.

5. They have a point about the deceased wrestlers thing. I don't dislike the idea of putting in Elizabeth, Angelo Poffo, and Lanny Poffo as a package deal.

More wrestling tomorrow.
