WWE Fastlane preview

Read on for how I'd book tonight's PPV.
Kickoff:
You know the shtick by now. Paul Heyman uses MizTV to advocate HIS CLIENT BROCK LESNAR. THE ONE IN TWENTY-ONE IN ONE is unafraid of Daniel Bryan. The man who CONQUERED JOHN CENA at Summerslam is unafraid of Roman Reigns. In fact, the REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPION could beat both of them at WrestleMania! At some point amid all the bragging, Damien Mizdow interrupts and asks how confident Heyman is. He puts over the accomplishments of Reigns and Bryan, and sells them as legitimate threats to take the title at Mania. Naturally, Miz is upset Mizdow interrupted his distinguished guest and sends him to the back, promising to deal with him on Raw. Miz then tries to work out a deal to be on Heyman Hustle or something to conclude the segment. Miz calls out Mizdow on Raw and Mizdow finally snaps to set up a WM31 match. Mizdow riffs on who Miz used to be (Real World Miz, Chick Magnet Miz, Miz with A-Ri, "Miz 7, Cena 0" Miz, Awesome Truth Miz) in the weeks ahead of their match.

Fastlane:
Paige puts up a fight, but Nikki retains. It doesn't matter to me if Brie interferes; just get us to WM31 where they can do a big Total Divas battle royal for the title.

In the finish to The Usos vs. Kidd and Cesaro, Natalya puts Cesaro's foot on the ropes while he's being pinned by one of The Usos. The referee doesn't see it, and Naomi takes it off the ropes before the 3-count. Naturally Kidd and Cesaro just show footage of Cesaro's foot being on the ropes and Naomi taking it off in their quest for a rematch. After The Ascension get past The New Day a couple times, they throw their names in the hat as well (if for no other reason than they think they're better than Rikishi ever was). And hey, what about the reunited PTP? They know the tag team titles are a way to get millions of dollars. So, we're in for a four corners tag match at Mania.

Dissension continues between Kane and Big Show to set up a win by the babyfaces. Show can KO Kane and Rollins so the former gets pinned. Kane recruits some other heels to set up an eight-man tag for Mania. Hopefully Mark Henry's well enough to at least work in a limited fashion then.

Triple H and Sting set up Triple H vs. Sting. I don't know the Sting character (pre-TNA) well enough to suggest much other than him pointing his bat at the WrestleMania sign and taking out J&J Security.

Sheamus makes his way to ringside for BNB vs. Ambrose to keep his eye on the proceedings. I hate to have Ambrose lose again, especially in another BS finish, but I'd have BNB taunt Sheamus into causing a DQ or something of the sort. Ambrose can then take out his frustrations by brawling with Sheamus to set up a match at WM31.

Goldust and Stardust put on a wrestling clinic. Goldust uses his veteran wiles and cool head under pressure to get the win, but Stardust isn't going to let this one die. He goes ballistic after the match, throwing things and saying it's not over. Ultimately WWE isn't big enough for both of them, and they cap off the feud at WM31.

Cena and Rusev brawl until there's a big crazy spot that prevents either man from continuing (shades of Cena vs. Ryback). Feud continues.

I know I've already booked a number of screwy finishes, but that's the surest path to get to WM31. Bryan moves out of the way of a spear, so the referee gets hit instead. As such, he misses Reigns tapping to the Yes Lock. As Bryan revives the ref, he's hit with another spear. Reigns wins. While Reigns insists it's not his fault the ref was speared and thus he's the rightful winner, Heyman arrogantly proclaims his client will take on both men at WM31 if Bryan can beat Reigns in a rematch. Bryan does next week on Raw and we get a triple threat at Mania.

Set for WM31:
- The Miz vs. Damien Mizdow (he can still use that name since he'll be impersonating Miz's earlier gimmicks in the leadup to the match.) This will probably get bumped to the pre-show.
- Battle royal for the Divas' Title (*cough, cough* popcorn match). This one can be shorter and mainly there to a breather between two top matches.
- The Usos vs. Kidd/Cesaro vs. Ascension vs. PTP. This can also go on the pre-show.
- Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins
- Kane/BNB/Harper/Henry vs. Show/Ziggler/Rowan/Ryback. This one can be kept fairly short to give other matches more time.
- Goldust vs. Stardust
- Triple H vs. Sting
- The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt
- John Cena vs. Rusev
- Sheamus vs. Dean Ambrose
- Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan

More wrestling coming up.
