TNA Lockdown preview

Read on for what I'd book for tonight's TNA special.

In a magical world where tonight's show wasn't taped several weeks ago, here's how I'd book the card:

Brooke vs. Robbie E should be put between two main events, I think, to have some breathing room. It will help bring the audience down from one big moment before setting up the next big one. Brooke shouldn't be intimidated by Robbie E at all. None of that "females are fragile" stuff. It might be different if she was facing someone like Lashley, but she could probably be the Eve Torres to Robbie's Matt Hardy in a shoot. Brooke wins.

For Kong vs. Havok, I'd love for there to be some kind of spot where Kong runs into Havok so hard, they both go through the cage. Or something else like going through the canvas where it's a big "holy $&#@" spot showing just how tough and ruthless both of them are while continuing the feud.

Obviously they were going to need to write off Jeff Hardy in some way. I would have had Matt escape the cage, then be jumped by the other members of The Revolution. This would lead to a 5-on-1 beatdown on Jeff inside the cage as the group takes the key from the ref and locks Jeff in. They could tie him into the ropes and have Storm beat him with a whip or something before superkicking him. Maybe even bring back the handcuffs from the AMW days or a beer bottle? Just something to explain Jeff being away for a while, getting heat on The Revolution and sympathy for Matt and Jeff. While Jeff's "recovering", The Wolves can help Matt out. And maybe someone like Chris Melendez or Tigre Uno, too, just to give them something to do.

Mandrews and Spud are able to beat Tyrus because it's two-on-one and they can come at him from different angles and all that. Naturally, EC3 isn't too happy with this. Feud continues.

Roode and Young tear it up, and Young wins with a big piledriver spot or something. I'd probably build to some big no-holds-barred match or something of the sort where they just tear each other apart.

BDC gets a four-on-three advantage inside Lethal Lockdown. The countdown happens for the final participant and no one comes out. But, just as the faces have lost hope, Lashley comes in and evens things up. The faces get the win, then Lashley gets in the face of each member of Team Angle, refusing to be a part of their celebration. That should set things up nicely for where to go afterward.

More wrestling tomorrow.
