Query on Melina in TNA, Interviews with Charlotte/Ezekiel/Paige, a change coming to NXT, MacDonald remembered, new champions congratulated, segment set for Raw, WWE stock improves, NXT live event note, prominent women's star has heart attack, JR back in the fold, Middle East live event note, Smackdown audience, and Questions on the WWE Hall, ending WWE magazine, AJ on Total Divas, and Tod Gordon

First up, a query:
1. I haven't seen or heard anything about Melina coming to TNA. Mickie James, however, will be appearing on the show soon and could be back wrestling for them.

Charlotte talked about working Natalya and more. It's pretty obvious they edited the questions to make it seem like it was done after the NXT special. Tsk tsk. She is doing really well, and I hope when she makes it to the main roster, her matches really impress.

TNA has removed Homicide and Rhino from their roster. Neither had been used in months, so that's hardly a surprise. I had hoped to see Homicide again, possibly involved in some way with BDC, but it doesn't look like that's in the cards. I didn't see much reason to bring Rhino back after the angle with EC3 ended some time ago.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
The former Ezekiel Jackson talked about his career. I know he's Big Ryck now, but more people probably know him as Ezekiel.

- It's kind of funny they said winning the IC Title was a bigger accomplishment than being the top champion of the ECW brand. What does that say about the standing of that brand when it ended?

- Striker's dead-on about wrestlers trying to impress people instead of, you know, getting their stories and matches over.

- I personally thought using him and Snitsky in the Dixie angle was brilliant. The ECW faithful hated what was done to the brand by WWE, and those two got some good heat as heels by representing that version of ECW in TNA.

- It's good to have some performers who don't fit the LU mold to mix things up so things don't feel too similar.

WWE is using a number of veteran names in NXT to work with the trainees on future episodes. I think that's a grand idea, but I can see where some people want the brand to just be for the people preparing for the main roster. It all depends on how they're used.

Drew MacDonald was remembered in Scotland. I'm glad he's being recognized.

The Miami Herald has a piece on Kevin Owens' parents seeing him win the NXT Title. They should be proud. That match was something else.

Sasha Banks was the #9 trend on Yahoo! after winning the NXT Womens' Title. She's got a future.

Added to Raw is The Authority responding to Big Show KOing Kane. Can they suspend both of them for a few months instead of setting up yet another PPV match between them? It'd be a nice change of pace.

WWE stock went up 15% after the release of their Q4 2014 earnings. That's really good news!!

NXT's live event in Cleveland sold out just hours after going on sale. That's really impressive. There's some real potential for that brand to grow. They just need to be careful not to lose sight of what made it work in the first place.

Ann Casey, who was trained by Fabulous Moolah, recently had a heart attack and a resulting surgery. I hope she pulls through OK.

Paige was interviewed about future NXT callups and more. I've definitely been really impressed by Sasha Banks. I don't think she's ready to be brought up just yet, but she's improved a lot and is definitely working hard.

Jim Ross worked with WWE for upcoming Network content. I'm glad the two sides are working together again. I don't see him getting signed back, but at least they'll utilize his talents.

Sami Zayn beat Tyson Kidd at a live event in Syria. I think part of the reason he lost the NXT Title and got knocked out was because he had to work these events. With Owens' win, they can keep the NXT Title in a feud without Zayn being there.

Thursday's Smackdown did 2.60 million viewers, a nice little jump from the previous week. They're pretty much doing what they were doing when they were FIGHTIN ON FRIDAY NIGHTS, MAGGLE.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I doubt it! They're still a very image-conscious company in 2015. They want you to remember some things from the Attitude Era, but they don't want to replicate some of the excesses of that time period.

2. I definitely think there's more demand for online content than a print magazine at this point. I don't blame them for dropping the magazine.

3. AJ wants to be a WWE wrestler, not an E! reality star. There's no telling how they'd portray her on that show. I don't see things changing in that regard.

Nothing to add to 4.

5. Gordon is more or less de-emphasized when discussing ECW. I don't know if they'll change the narrative to acknowledge him more or not.

More wrestling tomorrow.
