Even more between WWE/WWNLive, TNA star challenges NFL player, NXT+WWE live event notes, NJPW signs ex-NXT name, and Questions on Styles-NXT, TNA's roster, WWE buying TNA, the "why" of the World Title Series, Divas headlining Raw, Team Angle 2.0, '80s WWF writers, pleasing Vince, Vince approving music, and a lack of selling

WWE filmed content for their new "Breaking Ground" series at an ACW show, which Bayley attended in the front row. ACW is an affiliate for WWNLive. Basically, the two sides are pretty close now.

Robbie E challenged NFL player Rob Gronkowski to a wrestling match. Unless Gronkowski's willing to go to India or the UK, I don't think we'll see that match in TNA anytime in the near future.

Here's a report from an NXT live event this weekend. Sounds like a real fun time at a time when WWE live events feel so formulaic.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Juice Robinson, who worked in NXT as CJ Parker, has been signed to NJPW. I hope he gets the experience outside of WWE he was seeking before potentially returning as an asset. He was pretty fun as Parker.

Tyler Breeze lost to R-Truth on the main roster this weekend. Breeze can be a big hit if they use him right.

For my take on the first set of yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. NJPW/ROH got to him first. I think Samoa Joe was the first time they were willing to make the leap they ended up making. AJ was free from TNA before they crossed that line. Now, as long as ROH is on TV in the States, I don't see any way WWE would want him to also be on NXT. I would think that could be a nightmare from a legal standpoint as far as having the rights to televise his likeness.

2. That makes them look bad, and so would removing those names to show how bare their roster really is right now compared to the Spike days.

3. Honestly, I think if WWE is going to make a move to buy TNA, they're going to wait to see what their U.S. TV situation will be like in 2016. WWE has a lot more leverage in negotiations if TNA doesn't have a TV deal here. I don't know if WWE would tape a special episode in the Impact Zone to seal the deal or if they'd just pick up the rights and whatever's left of the roster and incorporate that into their portfolio. I really doubt they'd do a WWE vs. TNA/Impact Wrestling angle instead of, say, having a Hardy Boys reunion and putting some other talents in NXT.

4. That's a pretty solid guess, I think. It also gives them a chance to reboot things and air some more material featuring people who are no longer with the company. So, I guess it's not the worst thing they could have done. And it saves money from having to tape after BFG!

5. Hard to argue that one!

For my take on the second set of yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There are a lot of "if"s there. If Angle comes to terms with WWE for a return, and there's a scenario where all the attention wouldn't be on him, maybe. I'd rather them get some more experience under their belts and make it on their own (or with someone like Swagger or Zeb managing them). BUT I think it'd be a lot of fun to have JJ and Gable as Angle's henchmen while he just comes in and does a few big matches. Like J&J Security, but who can wrestle regularly in 2015.

2. They didn't have writers, dammit! They had bookers and you went out there and sank or swam on your own abilities. No one told you to get this catch phrase over, etc.. It was "you're facing Jim Jabroni. Cut a promo on him, then you're going over in the main." Then the wrestlers went back to doing drugs and called that sumbitch in the ring. Now everything's planned out in fine detail, and I think the shows suffer for it.

3. Vince doesn't really care for people challenging him; they don't last long.

4. Oh I'd love to hear what Vince thinks about modern music those damn millennials listen to when they're playin their Nintendos and planning their spots.

5. They're just following what's done on the indie scene, sadly. It's MUCH worse in places like ROH. Some matches don't even resemble matches anymore. It's just spot after spot.

More wrestling tomorrow.
