Interviews with Riddle/Alex Wright/Heyman/Henry, NXT sells out (again), more on NXT releases, more on TNA cancellations, TNA looks ahead, why NXT Diva missed tapings, another NXT Diva done, WWE press, NXT name working live events, upcoming WWE DVD, new NXT Diva, and Questions on Raw as the longest-running show, EVOLVE getting a boost from WWE, Network priorities, TNA's World Title Series, and Little Guido

Former UFC fighter Matt Riddle confirmed WWE set him up to get experience in EVOLVE after his tryout for NXT. So, the loose relationship between WWE and WWNLive continues to bear fruit. Presumably if Riddle impresses in EVOLVE, he'll get a shot in NXT.

Alex Wright talked about WCW then vs. WWE now, and more. The Power Plant often comes across in stories as something more like hazing than actually training people to wrestle.

NXT's Oct. 22 TV taping has sold out. There's a lot of excitement for what's next for the brand.

The releases of Devin Taylor and Cal Bishop were likely to make room for the new signings. Both had been in the system for some time without getting a featured role as wrestlers on TV.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Paul Heyman talked about using social media and more. It's great for him to be back in WWE in a regular role.

TNA canceled the tour set for Halloween week because they no longer planned to tape any content there. I'm not sure why they pulled shows that were getting good ticket sales and were giving their talents work, but they obviously felt there was no need to run the events. It looks like we're in for a lot of previously taped (but not necessarily aired) material through the end of November for the World Title Series.

TNA Management is optimistic for 2016 as they are doing quite well with TV clearances internationally, and they expect to land on another TV network in the U.S.. They keep surviving despite all the calls of them "dying," so maybe they'll make it after all.

There's been a lot of praise for Shane Helms as a producer in TNA. Tommy Dreamer is also doing a lot of work on that end for the company.

Eva Marie missed the latest batch of NXT tapings because she was in Paris as part of material for "Total Divas." Hopefully she's still able to train while part of the next season; she's still got work to do to get to where she needs to be.

It's believed Leva Bates/Blue Pants has finished her run in NXT. She had apparently rubbed some people the wrong way by making comments about how over she was (despite her role being to get others over). So they're getting rid of a talent who's over because she's excited that she's over? She added something to squash matches that might not have otherwise had much buzz. Unless there was some serious heat on her by the other talents, I think they made a mistake here.

Mark Henry talked about the Attitude Era and more. Touching story about talking to that kid. It had to have been embarrassing for parents to hear their children chant for "Sexual Chocolate" during the AE.

WWE got press in Saudi Arabia for their tour there.

Tyler Breeze is touring with the main WWE roster this weekend. He's really running out of things to do in NXT, so I hope they have a good plan for him to move up before too much longer.

WWE is working on a Scott Hall DVD for 2016. I hope his condition remains positive.

The Diva formerly known as Athena made her NXT debut this weekend, teaming with Gionna Daddio in a loss to Alexa Bliss and Peyton Royce. I think the next "wave" of Divas has potential based on their pre-NXT experiences. I expect Dana, Alexa, etc., to improve as well.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. WWE says Raw is the longest-running weekly episodic show (with no repeats). As far as I know, that's true. Soap operas generally run more frequently than weekly, and The 700 Club isn't "episodic" in the sense of having a running narrative.

2. Oh, yeah. EVOLVE's status definitely just got raised for people who want to get on WWE's radar. Even if they don't, that's a bigger stage than it was due to the association with WWE.

3. They have a LOT of old content and only so many person-hours to devote to it, so they make judgments on what has the highest priority based on viewership numbers.

4. It's pretty ambitious; I'll give them that. On the bright side, it's a long-term angle to declare a new champion instead of their usual frantic pace of storylines.

5. I hope he's doing well post-wrestling. It's always good to hear about people succeeding outside of the business once they move on.

More wrestling tomorrow.
