Top ROH name hurt, another also missing time, big implications for Del Rio's return, more on Cena's absence, Orton update, other names at HIAC, HIAC bumps and bruises, Where was Xavier?, more on Slipknot vs. NXT, and Questions on Vince in 1985, the Bellas as workers, gimmick match PPVs, Charlotte vs. Sasha, and Breeze being called up

AJ Styles did not work ROH's recent TV tapings due to a back injury suffered in NJPW. It's hoped he'll be fine in time for Final Battle in December.

ACH pulled himself from another independent date after his concussion. I wish him the best.

Albero Del Rio had discussions with TNA before returning to WWE. That's another big name that slipped through their fingers. I don't know how much a difference he could have really made, but he's definitely incredibly talented.

Alberto Del Rio remains AAA's top champion. He's expected to be able to finish out his dates there. As glad as I am for him to be back, it really screwed AAA over.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

John Cena isn't expected back until WWE hits Madison Square Garden on Dec. 26.  He deserves the break!!

Ramdy Orton wasn't backstage at Hell in a Cell, so he could be out for a while, too. The Wyatts are on a tear with taking out him, Taker, and now Kane!

Some other stars were at HIAC, including Rick Rubin, Dennis Haskins, The Soska Sisters, and Max Landis. WWE loves having relevant people from outside the wrestling world attend.

Update: Michelle McCool was at the show, too.

Brock Lesnar needed staples after Hell in a Cell. That was a damn FIGHT. Definitely worth watching.

Xavier Woods missed HIAC due to his wedding. I wonder if they watched Big E and Kofi's match there at least?

Charlotte might have broken her nose against Nikki Bella. Welcome to the main roster! She's tough as nails.

Corey Taylor getting involved at an NXT show this weekend got a lot of attention on music websites. That's good for the brand!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Not a bad joke given the timing, but the execution could be better.  I'll give it a pass for being something different than the usual "Vince is outdated" stuff, though.

2. I think the Bellas should get more credit than they do. I'd say they're fine as top Divas in the title chase. They just shouldn't be the focus of the division for so long. To be clear, there were times when it was clear they were getting featured because of the Twin Magic gimmick (pre-comeback), and they definitely benefit from whom they're in relationships with, but if you can look at them out of that context, they're solid workers.

3. I definitely think they should book feuds that need gimmick matches instead of gimmick matches that need feuds. I was fine with the days when it was just the Rumble and Survivor Series having their own special shows, with gimmick matches otherwise saved for big feuds. MITB makes sense to headline a PPV, but other than that, I think gimmick matches are a crutch.

4. They should get the most out of Charlotte vs. Paige first, but Charlotte vs. Sasha at WM32 could be great. Personally I'd like to see (when the time is right) Sasha take the title from her and compete with Becky. Let's see how Charlotte does as champ before going that route, though.

5. I wish they would have done more to set up his debut instead of him randomly being Summer's boyfriend, but I think their hands were tied with the Lana/Rusev situation. Hopefully Breeze and Summer take that ball and run with it, though, because both can be quite talented when in the right situation.

More wrestling tomorrow.
