Query on Athena-NXT, GFW taping note, HIAC Kickoff match official, Raw guest, biopic on WWE legend coming, Del Rio on missing European shows, NXT branching out, WWE-ESPN deal, update on former WWE Champion returning, more on Zayn-EVOLVE, WWE press, Raw audience, and Questions on cord cutting, Suplex City, credible main eventers, and headlining Raw

First up, a query:
1. It could be a while before we see the former Athena on NXT TV. They just debuted Asuka, and Nia Jax will be there soon. Athena doesn't even have a WWE name yet. It's possible they debut her at the next Takeover special, but they could also wait until early 2016. It depends on how confident they are in her standing out in the pack after the other two debuts. And some fine-tuning on live events wouldn't hurt!

GFW will tape their next set of TV episodes on Oct. 23, declaring their first champions. Still no word on a U.S. TV deal, so who knows if/when this will all air.

Orton/Ambrose vs. Strowman/Harper will be the Kickoff match at HIAC. That's kind of a surprise given the starpower there. But maybe they'll all be involved in Bray vs. Roman?

The former Victoria/Tara was visiting at Raw, as she lives in the area. I wouldn't mind her having a brief run, but I think she's moved on.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
WWE is writing a biopic on Gorgeous George. That's a story that needs to be told. Looking forward to it.

Alberto Del Rio responded to reports of him pulling out of a booked European tour this weekend. I can't blame him for taking a stand if they reneged on the agreed-upon terms of the deal.

NXT is casting for a pilot of a show aimed at 7-14 year olds. Interesting. That is in some ways WWE's target demo, so reaching them would put NXT even higher on the totem pole.

ESPN will have a weekly segment dedicated to WWE on SportsCenter. That's great! Even more coverage for the company.

Update: This week featured Seth Rollins appearing via satellite from the Smackdown taping.

There has been communication between WWE and Alberto Del Rio about him returning to the company, possibly as a surprise at their Mexico shows. I think that'd be a great idea if they know what to do with him.

Sami Zayn's EVOLVE appearances will just be for the live audience. WWE likely has the exclusive rights to his image for PPVs. It's still great for him to get to appear there.

New Day promoted Smackdown. I wonder what they do after they #savethetables?

WrestleMania travel packages have sold out. That's a good sign. WWE wants to have 100,000 fans there.

Raw this week got only 3.29 million viewers. There better be alarms going off in Stamford. Maybe there's something they can build to at Survivor Series that would really change things up? Like The Authority finally losing power for real and disappearing from TV? That'd be a good start.

For my take on yesterdauy's PWInsider.com questions:
1. But what about the cord-nevers? I definitely think there are people watching by other means than cable/satellite that WWE is hopefully factoring in. It definitely affects the physical number of people tuning in, but not the "rating number" (2.9 or whatever), since that's based on a percentage of people with access. Comcast definitely needs to move into the Internet age with their shows at some point, but the age of cable/satellite isn't over yet.

2. That's what they're hoping for! I haven't had them in a while, come to think of it...

3. Oh yeah, selling is key. Brock's suplexes certainly more than the Young Bucks' superkicks.

4. All those names and Seth Rollins. Probably some names working NXT as well.

5. If presented/promoted right, I don't see why it wouldn't work to have some non-main eventers headline the show. But of course, the point of the main event is that it's the biggest match. That generally goes at the end of the show.

More wrestling tomorrow.
