NXT+WWE live event notes, Interview with Santino, Rose injured, EVOLVE-WWE note, another TE signing in the works, and Questions on dropping the Diva name, rebooking Sting's WWE run, and Kharma-WWE

Here's a report from another NXT live event this weekend:
- Louis working with LeFort is kind of a reboot, since they did that previously as the Legionnaires. I enjoyed Louis' monster gimmick, although it was kind of limiting since he didn't really cut promos beyond weird screaming noises. He played it well, though, and it was different from everything else on the roster.

- I'm curious as to whether we'll see Cameron work NXT TV now.

- It is kind of odd to have Joe work in front of small crowds, but he also gets to be part of the bigger shows they do, and is front and center for a really hot brand.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Santino Marella talked about his WWE endeavors:
- Santino was one of my favorite parts of the show most of the time he was on. He took what he was given and ran with it.

- Saying "no" to Santina wouldn't have done him any favors. I wasn't really a fan of it other than the denials that it was Santino.

- The Divas should have heat on the people who approved the idea! Santino was just trying to get over!

- I enjoyed the Santino/Emma pairing. Emma's a criminally underused talent.

Adam Rose was stretchered out of his match with Fandango this week, making it a no-contest. That's not a good sign at all. I hope he's OK.

Undertaker returned to the ring in Mexico this weekend, teaming with Kane to beat Harper and Strowman. Taker's working fairly regularly for the first time in a number of years. I wonder how much longer he can keep that up.

Chris Jericho beat King Barrett in Mexico. I wonder how many more live events he's going to work? He might also end up at WM32.

Sami Zayn put over EVOLVE and Johnny Gargano after last night's iPPV, saying that the deal between WWE and WWNLive is only going to grow from here. Gargano won the match that had his WWNLive career on the line, so he'll presumably be continuing to work EVOLVE.  That doesn't mean we've seen the last of him in NXT, though, which is good.

Tough Enough's Patrick Clark is due to be signed by WWE as long as he completes their medical testing. Lita, who was one of the coaches of Tough Enough and now a producer in WWE, pushed for him to get another tryout. I hope he does good things there.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. FINALLY. FINALLY they give a sensible answer. If the Diva Search and Total Divas flop from a business perspective, then maybe it's time to drop the term. Right now they have a vested interest in keeping it. I do think they need to change things up as far as emphasizing Divas who can wrestle instead of this big clustermess they have now of reality show stars and people who've come up from NXT, but that's not a process that's going to happen overnight. There will come a time when they might should change the "Diva" name, but that time isn't while they have a profitable contract with E!.

As for them being in cliques, I agree. In hindsight, I think it would have been good to have Charlotte come up and take the title from Nikki, then have Sasha come up once Charlotte's been established as champ to build to a feud. Becky could follow in 2016. Ideally that would also mean people like Tamina would be de-emphasized. But they can't go back and change things. Hopefully by the end of WM32, they'll be in a much better place as far as what it means to be a Diva.

2. Another case of hindsight being 20/20. They didn't know if they were going to use Sting past WM31, so they wrote him off there. Sting came back to put the arrogant champ in line and continue the feud he had with HHH. I do mostly like the idea pitched by the questioner, since the idea should be to get guys like Rollins to look like top stars. HHH could have suspended Sting or something after losing at WM31 to write him off.

3. I think they're just looking for younger performers they can make themselves. Kharma was pretty open about wanting to return to WWE. MAYBE she ends up in NXT if she's no longer part of TNA in 2016, but that's just speculation.

Nothing to add to 4.

More wrestling tomorrow.
