Superstars Reax - 10/9/15, updates on big NXT debut, Smackdown audience, NXT releases, TNA cancels live events, and Questions on Knockouts going for the TNA Title, Russo coming back to WWE, Zayn in the Rumble, the Divas at WM32, and announcers taking restroom breaks

Superstars:
Damn. Rose went hard on Cesaro with the whole "not becoming a superstar" thing.

- Cesaro vs. Rose:
Rose has some charisma in the ring, which is good.

That match was OK. I honestly am not crazy about the Giant Swing, but it's clearly over.

- PTP vs. Ascension:
Solid stuff so far.

Both teams are going pretty hard here. I like it. Hopefully Management notices them stepping their game up as the Dudleys have returned and been given the red carpet treatment.

Nice match.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

WWE has pulled video of the big debut at the most recent NXT taping. I'm excited for the possibilities involved with the new addition.

Update (spoilers): James Storm has reportedly not signed a deal with NXT yet, although he's wanted for the next set of tapings. TNA is offering him a pay raise to come back. If he wants regular work with new opponents in the U.S., NXT's probably his best bet. What's left for him to do in TNA? Another World Title run would be great, but he's got a big opportunity here to contribute to something new and exciting.

Smackdown's audience this week was 2.15 million. The show's really in a slump right now viewership-wise.

WWE has released Devin Taylor and Cal Bishop from NXT. Bishop isn't a surprise, since he wasn't a part of things on TV. Devin Taylor was a regular part of things as an interviewer, with a running segment involving Dana Broke and Emma. Her loss isn't a huge deal, but it is a bit surprising.

TNA has canceled the live event tour set for the week of Halloween. Talents will receive partial payment for the tour. The company was happy with ticket sales, but some logistical changes to TNA's plans led to the shows being dropped. TNA is really in a mess right now. I hope there really are long-term plans in place and these are just stumbling blocks.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The first round will have them competing against each other, but two of them will move on the next round alongside male competitors. So it looks like they will eventually face men.

2. I don't think so. We need new ways of thinking in 2015, not a rehash of things that worked years back.

3. Zayn coming in after Owens has laid waste to some other competitors in a bullying way to start their feud on the main roster is what I want to see. The only reason Zayn should go back to NXT is to knock off some ring rust ahead of a big main roster debut (maybe the night after WM32 if he's not back in time for the Rumble?).

4. It's possible they have a really meaningful title match at WM32, but it's also entirely possible they try to cram all the Divas in one segment again. We'll see how things look in a few months.

5. I don't know how they do it either! I could see that being a really tough part of the job.

More wrestling tomorrow.
