Interview with Dr. Tom, NXT sellouts, Smackdown audience, and Questions on standing up to Stephanie, WWE's new announcer, HHH returning, and Roman's mic skills

Dr. Tom Prichard talked about working in WWE's developmental system. He was really well-liked and seen as very knowledgeable. That angle sounds REALLY intense, which is really missing at times in today's "sports entertainment." There's no way WWE would do blatant choking or blood in 2015. I agree with their reasoning, but it definitely doesn't seem like "rasslin" in a lot of ways anymore.

Update: Here's the clip they were discussing. That was some really heavy shit.

NXT's debut in Chicago sold out it less than a minute. That is absolutely phenomenal. They're going to be touring more in 2016. I hope NXT continues to be a hit.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

NXT has sold out Milwaukee for their debut there. It was another almost immediate sellout. I wonder how long they can continue posting such great numbers.

NXT has sold out Detroit as well. Obviously the answer to "are you ready?" is yes. I'm curious as to how this is being received by the people in charge of the main roster. Obviously NXT isn't running five or more hours of TV a week and multiple live events each weekend (outside of Florida), but this is definitely something to take notice of.

Smackdown's audience Thursday night was 2.33 million, the highest number in a few months. Presumably the big title change on Raw contributed to that. We'll see what WWE does going forward to keep or lose momentum.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It's POSSIBLE we see something like that from Charlotte or Sasha down the line. We know she was none-too-pleased when Dusty stood up to her in the ring, so my guess is she won't get comeuppance unless it's by someone she's comfortable putting over. So, yeah, Ronda Rousey is one of few people that come to mind.

2. It sounds like they want to make Smackdown more credible (for now), so maybe they'll let him do more of what he's known for. That said, he's working with Lawler and Booker T., so I don't know how much of an effect he'll be able to have on making the announcing better.

3. I'm really hoping he sics Brock on Roman for WM32. He can face Roman at Fastlane without the title on the line.

4. I agree with letting less be more. He should let his fists do the talking for him. And yes, giving him less cringe-worthy dialogue to recite would be a good step as well.

More wrestling tomorrow.
