WWE TLC preview

Read on for how I'd book tonight's WWE special event.
Kickoff:

I'd go with Stardust vs. Titus as the Kickoff match. I think that's a logical way to start the show and get fans sucked into the action. Titus wins a good match with Clash of the Titus. The Ascension come out to make it three-on-one, and put on a beatdown for a little while before Darren comes out to help his tag partner. Eventually he's overpowered, but Goldust's music hits and he evens things up. Stardust tells the Ascension to focus on the ramp where Goldust is coming out, letting PTP recover and attack from behind. Stardust becomes victim to a big move from his brother, and the faces celebrate to close the pre-show.

Main show:

Rusev needs to look like a serious threat again. He should be a top heel challenger in 2016. To accomplish that in this match, Ryback inadvertently shoves Lana into the steps as he's brawling with Rusev on the outside. Rusev sees this and absolutely SNAPS. He applies an Accolade on Ryback. Officially it's a double countout, but Ryback passes out to the Accolade out there. It takes multiple referees and security guards to pull Rusev off. He consoles Lana, then shoves them all off and goes back to the Accolade. Ryback spends the next few nights at the hospital for the lack of oxygen to get the Accolade over as a serious submission put on by someone really upset. The stage is set for a rematch at the first Raw of 2016 as Ryback recovers thanks to the support of the fans (getting cards in the hospital and all that stuff).

Later on in the night, Del Rio makes a statement of his own by brutalizing Jack Swagger with a chair. Del Rio needs to look like someone you don't want to mess with. Del Rio takes out some more security people as well. Ideally, people will be talking about Del Rio as a serious threat and a champion to beat.

Each member of Team ECW has well over a decade of experience with hardcore weaponry. The Dudleys stand tall at the end of the night due to being the veterans in this environment. The Wyatts make them earn it, though. This builds to a crazy Extreme Rules rematch on the first Raw of 2016, where they end up brawling all over the place and the Wyatts get the win. This sets them up for kind of a feud with LoN going into the Rumble match, where both teams want to succeed.

Becky Lynch tries to talk some sense into Charlotte before the match with Paige, saying she doesn't want Charlotte to do what Paige did to Charlotte. I was against Charlotte turning heel, but if it leads to a face Sasha Banks winning the title at WM32, I can get behind it. Charlotte makes Paige tap with leverage from the ropes, shades of her father. Charlotte gets a chip on her shoulder in the weeks to come. How about Charlotte vs. Paige vs. Becky on the first Raw of 2016, then Charlotte vs. Becky one-on-one at the Rumble (maybe in a two-out-of-three falls match with Ric Flair banned from ringside?).

New Day are forced to defend their titles against two face teams? How unfair! At least, that would be their argument after the Usos win. I love New Day, but I think it's time to shake things up in the division after they've been champs for a while.

Ambrose puts up a fight, but Owens gets him with the Pop-up Powerbomb to get the win. No funny business here. Just Ambrose coming up THIS short.

Sheamus and Reigns have a war, but a Bullhammer from Barrett knocks Reigns off a ladder through some tables and saves Sheamus' title. Reigns wins a match over Barrett to get a WWE Title match on the first episode of Raw of 2016 with no one allowed at ringside. I like the idea of Reigns winning there and defending against BROCK. LESNAR. at WM32. HHH tries to get Brock on his side in order to dethrone Reigns. Should be fun.

More wrestling coming up.
