Superstars Reax - 12/4/15, NXT live event notes, Interview with EC3, Foley on Dewey joining Creative, update on potential new TV promotion, TNA World Title Series update, more on Angle-TNA, more coming from GFW, Smackdown audience, Dreamer set for more WWE dates, and Questions on boycotting Raw, getting ratings up, borrowed nostalgia, and the future of Stardust

Superstars:
Slater and Ryder should have both gotten promos or a backstage segment for this one. They both have strength as characters.

- Slater vs. Ryder:
This isn't bad at all.

Good little match for Superstars.

- Neville vs. Dallas:
These two work off each other well. Neville's the serious and agile athlete, while Bo is more of a character/entertainer.

Nice last couple of minutes to showcase Neville's aerial abilities.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Here are results from a recent NXT live event:
- I can't wait to see Swann and Busick given their reputations on the indie scene.

- I think we can officially consider Cameron part of NXT now. That's not a bad thing. It's definitely better than her not working for them at all. Maybe she can teach a little something about how the main roster differs from NXT.

- It definitely makes sense to try to distinguish Billie Kaye from Peyton Royce. Two new Divas coming from the same place who look similar is a recipe for them being confused for each other, and that's the last thing they want if they're not pairing the two Divas up.

- I've mostly enjoyed Louis' weird monster gimmick. I don't know how effective it will be in 2015 and beyond, but it was more interesting than him just being a French guy.

- It's hard to not think of Oscar's really poor match in TNA as Magno. It was Mistico-as-Sin-Cara bad. Hopefully when we see him on NXT TV he'll have a second chance to make a "first impression."

- I hope Constantine is a successful hoss/mastadon to replace the likes of Big Show and Kane.

EC3 talked about TNA's move to Pop TV and more. I think the first episode would be a great time to wrap up the World Title Series, but it sounds like they might have already taped the ending for a show later this month. Enjoyable in-character stuff.

Mick Foley addressed his son joining WWE Creative:
- Dewey finishing up his job at college gets him respect from me. He could have easily left them high-and-dry now that he's where he wants to be.

- I REALLY hope Foley does go the texting route if he thinks his opinions are so important they need to be heard by the WWE higher-ups. He's welcome to have opinions in a public forum, but if he's not actually doing anything to change what he's upset about, it really just stirs the pot and causes more drama.

Update: As of this writing, Noelle Foley has not been signed by WWE. There's talk of her coming in as an interviewer, but it's not official.

Shane Douglas and Road Warrior Animal are looking to launch a wrestling promotion with TV tapings in Las Vegas in early 2016. This has been in the works for more than a year. We'll see how it goes. Another place for talent to get exposure and experience is generally a good thing.

TNA has apparently taped all the material for the World Title Series already, but could change their direction and tape something new at the first event of 2016 to kick off their Pop TV run. So, it's not set in stone whom their next champion will be.

Kurt Angle will finish up his run with TNA at the UK tour. I think him having a title vs. TNA career match with the winner of the World Title Series writes itself.

GFW is set to announce new live events soon, both inside and outside the U.S. That's good news. Things have been kind of quiet for them lately.

GFW is also looking to do more Grand Slam Tour-type events, with Jeff Jarrett talking to various baseball teams to set something up.

Smackdown's audience Thursday night was 2.04 million. That's up from Thanksgiving, but still not a strong number.

Tommy Dreamer has been added to a number of WWE live events in December and January. I wouldn't be surprised if he worked those shows in addition to working backstage for TNA for their tapings in January. I fully expect him to remain outside of a full-time WWE contract so he can continue doing work for HoH, but time will tell. I'd think he'd be a good addition behind-the-scenes, possibly in NXT.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Honestly how many fans who complain online about Raw even watch the whole thing on TV at this point? Ratings are only for those watching it as it airs (with later numbers taking in replays and DVRs). The type of audience who knows and cares about the dirtsheets is generally already "boycotting" the show by either streaming it online, watching clips on YouTube later, just following along with what's happening via Twitter, etc..

2. Vince probably thinks we need to see the top stars more (including guys like Brock and Taker). And Authority talking segments. Then, when Reigns is champ and Cena and Orton are back, things will be great. As for me, I think they need the writing/booking to be better (less formulaic) and to spread things out so we don't see the same faces over and over. Feuds need to mean something beyond "muh title" and characters need to pop. Titles meaning something, to me, is about more than "you have that thing and I'm going to fight you to get it." They need more contender's matches and the like, so when title matches happen, they're important. Having the champ wrestle every week on TV and lose waters down what it means to be champion.

3. As was said, a lot of the people saying that were only around for that era. Although honestly there are a lot of people who never watched the Attitude Era as it was happening but are latching on to seem knowledgeable (this is also true for ECW). They might have seen highlights later on DVDs and the Network, but that presents a warped view of what was going on then.

4. I'm sure his look will continue to evolve as the character continues to be a thing.

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
