Interviews with Hogan/Punk/Naomi/Steele, JR to interview Dixie, WWE Network updates, top name missing live events, WWEPC visitor, and Questions on Miz owning his name, Bo, Paige, Ambrose's booking, competing with the Network, and a new WWECW

Hulk Hogan talked about wanting one last title run. If it is truly his last match ever and we never have to hear any "one more match, brother" garbage, I'd be OK with him ending his career at WM31 in a brief match. Maybe a legends battle royal or something with some of his former opponents. It does make sense for him to end his career in WWE.

Dixie Carter will be on Jim Ross's podcast January 6. That's the day before TNA debuts on Destination America. I hope it's something noteworthy and not just a puff piece to promote Impact.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

C.M. Punk had an interview covering WWE and UFC topics. Needless to say, it didn't go as Punk wanted it to.

- The interviewer was pretty much a douche.

- I think the people putting this all together were anti-wrestling marks, or opportunists just trying to get attention.

- It makes sense to put Punk against someone of the same level of MMA experience.

- I'm not sure what the hockey question had to do with anything.

- If the interviewer or his staff had done the research, they'd know what C.M. stands for.

- Chael Sonnen definitely likes to play with the media.

- There was no question in there...

- I can see how people would see Punk as confrontational, but he was there to talk about UFC.

- Again, if research was done, they'd know what Vince has said about UFC.

- I definitely think it was kind of derogatory to show that video before the Punk interview.

WWE Network is likely close to launching in India, as WWE's seeking feedback there. That's a big market. I hope they do well there.

John Cena isn't on this weekend's WWE live events. He's earned some time off. Hopefully the others do big things in his absence.

Afa of the Wild Samoans was at the WWE Performance Center this week. That's pretty cool.

Naomi talked about wrestling storylines. People are still on the "fake" thing in 2014?

George "The Animal" Steele talked about the business side of pro wrestling. Pretty cool read, from a surprisingly intelligent guy.

WWE Network is releasing more Attitude Era content. That's definitely a big draw for fans who have and haven't seen it.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I would think so. I wonder if he would have had to have a "WWE name" if he came in during a later era. I can only imagine what that would have been. I kind of miss the terrible names wrestlers got stuck with years back.

2. He'll be back before too much longer I think. In the mean time, all you've got to do is BOLIEVE in yourself!! As for Paige, it looks like she'll be getting more screen time to promote that terrible show. I guess that's a mixed blessing.

3. Do you think the person sending in this question realizes Dean Ambrose has headlined two of the last three PPVs over John Cena, and was protected in both those losses? And do you think they'd care that wins and losses are only part of the puzzle? I think people should appreciate the progress made here. Clearly WWE cares about Ambrose enough to soften the blows of his major losses. I wouldn't be shocked if they had big plans for him in 2015.

4. I strongly doubt there's enough of an audience for those other promotions to pose a serious threat to WWE.

5. WWE already did revive ECW in all its old glory on the WWE Network, for only $9.99 a month! As for the ECW brand, I think that well's been run dry. I could see them using some ECW names for special shows in old ECW strongholds, but there's very little chance of them using the name ECW as a full brand again.

More wrestling tomorrow.
